Chris Murphy has settled in nicely for White Sox

White Sox reliever Chris Murphy was placed on the IL on April 9 with a left elbow impingement after posting a 10.50 ERA through six appearances.

Upon being activated on May 6, Murphy was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte and he was not called back up until May 31. He then got optioned again on June 4 and called back up on June 10, but we've actually started to see him really settle in with the White Sox since he got healthy. 

Murphy has made seven appearances for the White Sox since May 31. Six of those outings have been scoreless. He has a 1.17 ERA over 7.2 innings pitched in that stretch. 

After getting the win on Monday night, Murphy is 2-0 with a 5.27 ERA on the season. He's gradually bringing those numbers down to a respectable place.
