The World Baseball Classic has been officially getting underway over the last few days, and White Sox infielder Curtis Mead is off to a tremendous start for Team Australia.

Granted, the competition level has not been all that great. They have faced Chinese Taipei and Czechia in their first two games of pool play and are 2-0.

Mead was 2-for-4 in the opener and 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs in game two. That three-run home run put Team Australia in the lead, which they would never surrender.
