The White Sox and Guardians are battling for first place in the AL Central, but Sunday's pivotal matchup will stream exclusively on Peacock.
The Chicago White Sox are in the midst of their biggest series of the year, a four-game set against the rival Cleveland Guardians on the road, with first place in the AL Central up for grabs.
Things got off to a really rough start on Thursday evening. Cleveland got after the White Sox bullpen and started chipping away at a 5-2 lead. The game hung in the balance in the ninth inning, and then a blown save by Grant Taylor and a walk-off home run by Brayan Rocchio turned a 5-4 White Sox lead into a 6-5 Guardians win.
The most important thing now is how the White Sox answer back from the adversity.
There are still three games remaining in the series, with the White Sox and Guardians tied atop the AL Central standings. Anthony Kay takes the mound for Chicago on Friday night as the White Sox look to get back in the win column.
Every one of these games matters. Every one could be the difference in winning the AL Central when it's all said and done, not just because of the swing in the standings, but because of the tiebreaker that now determines division races instead of Game 163. Even coming away from this four-game series in Cleveland with a split would be a solid outcome for the White Sox. And with that in mind, there will be a lot riding on Sunday afternoon's game.

Guardians television voice Matt Underwood will be on the call, with Steve Stone serving as the analyst. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT.
Radio broadcasts of the game will still be available as usual, with the White Sox airing on ESPN Chicago WMVP 1000 AM and Len Kasper on the call. But if you plan to watch the television broadcast, make sure your Peacock subscription is up to date before Sunday.
