The preseason is over, and now it's time to focus on the regular season. Some players showed they belonged while others may have punched their ticket out of the Philadelphia 76ers' locker room.

Now that the preseason has come to an end, it’s time for the Philadelphia 76ers to make their roster cuts. While we may not know exactly who will be cut, based on their final preseason game, here are the winners and losers from the 76ers loss to the Boston Celtics.

Winners:

Joel Embiid

Yes, it goes without saying that Embiid was going to be on the team no matter how he played, but we have to give him his props for the way he played tonight.  Embiid looks to be ready to go, and it’s easy to see that shedding some of that weight was good for his body. He played 29 minutes and looked to be ready to play 40. His resurgence will be great, and it was just good to see a healthy Embiid.

Jabari Walker

Walker played 19 minutes and did enough to keep himself on the roster. Walker had 13 points on 4 for 8 shooting with four rebounds and two steals. The numbers may seem lackluster to some, but Walker had quality minutes when his number was called upon. He made some great defensive plays and put himself in position repeatedly to make a play for the team. His effort and ability to be moved around the court should be more than enough to keep him on the team.

Jameer Nelson Jr.

Nelson Jr. has been a great addition to this team since the first preseason game. His willingness to never give up and play through the whistle has made him a shoe-in (in my opinion) to make this team. He’s a crafty guard who can move in and out of the paint and shoot with the best of them. Look no further than the last preseason game where he shot a three in OT even though the game was in hand.

Losers:

Labaron Philon Jr.

Philon Jr. had a chance to win the game for the team and hesitated. It was a theme throughout the night. He has the talent, but he has to have the confidence in his abilities. He’s going to be someone the 76ers need down the stretch, so he has to get out of his own head and just play.

Rayan Rupert

The big man was nonexistent in this game, and that doesn’t really bode well for him. They needed somebody to step up with an opening at center, and Rupert did nothing to help with that.

Backup center

There was absolutely nothing to cheer about here. The Celtics once again dominated the offensive glass, and it was part of the reason the Celtics were able to stay in the game. This was a problem going into the preseason, and there has been no answer for it. The season starts in less than a week, and it seems this is just going to be a problem throughout the season.

It’s up to the 76ers to make the right choices, but there will be a hard one no matter who they choose. Play time is over and the season is about to begin.
