Jaylen Brown is known to try new things. Now, he's picked up fencing as the season gears up.
It seems Jaylen Brown is continuing to express his interest in trying out new hobbies. This time Brown was seen trying out fencing. A hobby many don’t see too often.
The Philadelphia 76ers certainly have plenty on their hands when it comes to Brown. Now, fencing is nowhere near as dangerous as boxing, so Brown might be in the clear this time. It really just makes you curious as to what else Brown might try next. The season is vastly approaching, so it’s going to be time for Brown to take a step back from his adventures and focus on the job that pays him.
This season, the 76ers are on a mission to bring home a championship to the city of Philadelphia. While they may have the best roster constructed, it doesn't mean that they are a shoo-in to win the title. Brown taking up fencing does make you question if maybe this is a new tactic to work on some type of cardio? Footballers use palettes and have done dancing so they could be lighter on their feet, so maybe this could be something to that effect.
Fencing does make you light on your toes and make you think in a calculating way, as the objective is to score points by jabbing your opponent.
Well, regardless, it’s time to focus on basketball. This season has to be one of the most challenging considering the amount of pressure they are under. There is very little room for error, and Brown needs to be focused. During his press conference, he talked about how he’s all in here and how happy he is to be in the city. Now, he has to show it. The fans will only give you so much rope before your time will run out.
The 76ers have been projected to finish fourth in the East standings, and that’s fine. But in order for them to do that, they have to build chemistry and remain healthy. Brown has done some of that already with his workouts with LeBron James and Tyrese Maxey. However, it doesn’t mean you can take off and do whatever activity suits you. Many know of Brown’s outspoken nature, and some of it is what the fans love. But there’s a time and place for all of it. If you’re going to do these outside activities, you better be able to replicate the season you had while in Boston.
This season matters to the fans and the organization, considering how much work they put into the season, so iBrown has to show up and prove why they added him to the team.
