The Milwaukee Bucks have a top-10 pick.
The NBA Draft Lottery has arrived, laying out the foundation for the first round of the 2026 Draft, where the teams that finished lowest in the standings were given a chance at selecting in the one of the most stacked drafts in recent memory to attempt and reload their team's with some new blood.
The Milwaukee Bucks entered into the lottery with just a 3% chance at receiving the number one overall pick, which would have gone to the New Orleans Pelicans anyways, and low odds to pick in the top four. Ultimately, they came up short of one of those premier picks.
The Washington Wizards were selected to pick first overall, followed by the Utah Jazz, Memphis Grizzlies and Chicago Bulls to round out the rest of the top four.
Bucks' Draft Position
As a result, the Bucks are going to pick 10th overall in the draft, that position decided by their 32-50 regular season record.
Even if it's not top four, picking in the top 10 at all is a great sign for the Bucks and gives them a chance to add a valuable new piece to the team in an offseason that's going be crucial for the future of the franchise.

Now that the lottery has passed and all 30 teams' picking positions are determined, mock drafts across the media world have abounded.
Per ESPN's latest mock draft, the Bucks are projected to pick Tennessee freshman forward Nate Ament at 10th overall. The jury is still out on where exactly Ament's ceiling is, he at least projects to be a solid role player that can add both size and offensive versatility to the Bucks roster.
Of course, what exactly the Bucks' mentality will be going into the draft will be determined by Giannis Antetokounmpo's place on the team, if he has one.
Milwaukee ownership has made it clear that whatever Antetokounmpo's future will be, they want that to be determined before draft night as that can drastically affect what the team's approach and needs will be when it comes to selecting a player.
While that aspect of the team's construction has yet to be decided, Ament is the kind of player that can serve both purposes that the Bucks may need, either slotting in as a depth piece for the team or supplementing the kind of physicality and size that the Bucks would lose should they trade Antetokounmpo away.
For now, the Bucks at least have the certainty of knowing where they'll be picking in the first round and whatever the team's needs may be come Draft Night, the Bucks will be in a good position to add an impactful top-10 pick.
