The Bucks could be a hot free agent destination.
The Milwaukee Bucks have done a lot of work this offseason to try and transform their roster and start a confident new era of Bucks basketball with a rebuild of the team, but they still have more work to do and left over cap space to do it with and as the offseason winds down and just a handful of notable free agents remain, the Bucks could be a likely destination for several top players.
For a long time this offseason, the Bucks have consistently been mentioned in the conversation for Peyton Watson, but after a massive four-team trade sent Watson to the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Bucks will have to pivot, but they're still in a great position for two other players that could be foundational to the future of their team.
A recent article from Clutch Points has attached both Jonathan Kuminga and Bennedict Mathurin to the Bucks this offseason and while those two moves may be ambitious, they would go a long way in securing the remaining needs of the Milwaukee roster ahead of the season.

As aggressive as the Bucks have been this offseason, they still have a major gap in their roster at the power forward slot. At the moment, Kyle Kuzma is slated to be the Bucks' starting power forward, but after two disappointing seasons in Milwaukee where he has steadily declined, it may be time for the Bucks to move on and Kuminga would be the perfect way to do that.
Kuminga has the size and athleticism that could make him a versatile piece to have and if head coach Taylor Jenkins would be able to adjust Kuminga's play style to make him more defense-focused, Kuminga could very well be the answer to the Bucks' questionable defense in the front court.

While the front court is somewhat of a concern for Milwaukee, the back court that they've built stands out as their biggest improvement. Ryan Rollins, Brayden Burries and Tyler Herro already make up a stellar rotation to work with to take up the majority of the minutes in a game, but adding Mathurin would be another to step up and lock down the team's first and second-options.
Indiana Pacers guard/forward Bennedict Mathurin (00) dribbles the ball while Milwaukee Bucks guard Gary Harris (11) defends in the first half at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Trevor Ruszkowski-Imagn ImagesMathurin has athleticism, pace and length that can make him an asset at both the two behind Herro and at the three behind Jaime Jaquez Jr. and that kind of versatility would be huge for the Bucks late in games.
The market is just now dying down with the season only weeks away and both Kuminga and Mathurin stand out as some of the best free agents left and if Milwaukee plays it's cards right, both could be wearing Bucks green by the time that the season begins.
