Thunder On Track to Beat Warriors’ Regular Seaaon Win Record
We’ve been hearing all season, now about one-fourth of the way through, how the Thunder are on track to overcome the Golden State Warriors’ 73-Win regular season record. Todd Whitehead of Synergy and Sportradar recently created this chart showing just how close the Thunder are to achieving this historic feat. What makes this most impressive is the Thunder being on track to set a new win record despite being without key stars and role players for the entirety of the season. Even with the return of Jalen Williams, Kenrich Williams, and Aaron Wiggins, the Thunder still find itself without Lu Dort, Alex Caruso, and Isaiah Hartenstein. Will the Thunder be able to set a new win’s record? What’s the most impressive aspect shown in Whitehead’s chart above?

OK3 Score 20+ For First Time This Season
After a dominant first half, it wasn’t necessarily pretty for OKC in the second half against the Golden State Warriors. The short-handed Warriors were without Steph Curry, no Jimmy Butler for the second half, and Draymond Green was in foul in trouble. But the Thunder were also short-handed, with no Lu Dort, Alex Caruso, or Isaiah Hartenstein. While all contributed, it was the “OK3” who shined tonight. Shai, J-Dub, and Chet all had big games, combining for 81 points on over 61% from the floor. Jalen Williams looked more like his normal self in his third game since his return from injury, driving to the rim at will (no pun intended). Chet asserted his dominance with some incredible drives to the rim, combined with some timely three-point makes from deep. But it was the 2024-2025 NBA MVP who stole the show. Shai was unstoppable driving to the rim, getting to his midrange, and, maybe most importantly, drilling his shots from outside (5/6 from 3).

Jalen Williams and Cason Wallace Begin Season-Long Steals Competition
According to The Oklahoman Thunder beat reporter Justin Martinez, Jalen Williams revealed to the media after Sunday’s win over the Portland Trail Blazers that him and teammate Cason Wallace have begun a competition to see who will degenerate the most steals this season. No additional details have been given, but one can assume this competition began with J-Dub’s season Debut last Friday against the Phoenix Suns, and will go through the end of the Thunder’s regular season. During the Thunder’s 2024 - 2025 Championship campaign, J-Dub had a total of 111 steals in the regular season compared to Cason’s 120. Who do you have winning this competition?

Chet Holmgren Surpasses Wembenyama in DPOY Odds
Chet Holmgren has surpassed Victor Wembenyama to become the leader in Polymarket Sport’s Defensive Player of The Year odd’s for this season. Wembenyama had previously led all year until a recent left calf strain sidelined him earlier this month. Chet is averaging 1.5 blocks and nearly a steal a game while anchoring the league’s most dominant defense nearly twenty games into the regular season. Will Chet obtain his first DPOY trophy of his career, or will Wemby regain the league after retuning from injury?

Wiggins and Kenrich Williams Close to Returning for OKC
Aaron Wiggins and Kenrich Williams were spotted participating in the Thunder’s full practice today in OKC. Aaron Wiggins has missed the last few weeks for the Thunder due to an abductor strain, while Kenrich Williams has been out all season after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his left knee in late September. Both players will bring additional depth and versatility to an already incredibly deep roster. Coach Daigneault was asked about each players’ return to play, and Daigneault alluded to Jalen Williams’ continuing to progress, as well. What do you think rotations will look like with Wiggins and Kenrich back? How will Ajay and Wiggins look together? How much longer will Dub be out? A lot of questions to be answered sooner, rather than later.

Ajay Mitchell Hasn’t Just Emerged for OKC, He’s Arrived
Ajay Mitchell added yet another stellar performance to his 2025-2026 season so far, scoring 20 Points on a perfect 8/8 FG, two of those being from the Three-Point line, and his only misses of the night coming from the free throw line where he went 2/4 from the stripe. Last night, Ajay became the youngest player in OKC franchise history to record 20 points on perfect shooting from the floor. Per our good friend and fellow contributor Daniel Bell, only six other players in franchise history have accomplished this feat. Ajay currently has the second highest FG% on isolation plays this season, behind only Harrison Barnes, at 70%. Overall, Ajay has given OKC another playmaker on the floor both alongside Shai and when Shai sits, provides OKC another dangerous scorer in the paint and attacker of the rim, can space the floor, and is defending at a high level. Are we witnessing the rise of another star in OKC? Only time will tell, but one thing is for certain: Ajay Mitchell has arrived, and he isn’t going anywhere.

Can This Season’s Thunder Team Beat the Warriors’ 73-Win Record?
There’s been a lot of talk about this OKC Thunder team after storming out to a dominant 15-1 start to the season as they look to defend their Championship from last season. Brad Botkin of CBS Sports makes the case as to why this season’s Thunder team can not only defend their title, but surpass the 73-Win record set by the Golden State Warriors in the 2015-2016 season. He sites the similarities between the two teams, the Thunder’s mentality, and the dominance they’ve shown even with players out due to injury all as reasons why he believes this team can hold the new record for regular season wins at the end of this season. One thing is for certain, if there’s any team who can surpass that historic record, it appears to be this season’s Thunder team.

Thunder Debut 2025 - 2026 City Edition Jerseys + Court
The OKC Thunder officially debuted the 2025 - 2026 City Edition court this morning, ahead of its annual Native American Heritage Night where the players will debut the new uniforms. The uniforms are a tribute to the Native and Indigenous cultures that shape Oklahoma’s identity and community spirit. They are a remix of the City Edition uniforms from the 2018 - 2019 season. Where do these rank amongst the Thunder City Edition jerseys of the past? Where do these rank amongst all Thunder uniforms that have been worn?

Jalen Williams’ Return Nears
We are officially past the 10-14 day timeframe the Thunder gave for an update on star forward Jalen Williams after a follow-up procedure on his wrist last month to relieve irritation from a screw. J-Dub has only added fuel to the fire of his return nearing with a handful of tweets, retweets, and Instagram stories. When do you all expect J-Dub to return to the lineup for OKC and make his 2025-2026 season debut? The 14-1 Thunder return from a brief road trip and play at home Wednesday, November 19th. Dub and the Thunder then face his brother, Cody Williams, and the Utah Jazz Friday, November 21st, at PayCom. I’d keep an eye on those two dates.

Could This Current Thunder Roster Make Up Two Playoff Teams If Split?
Rob Perez (@worldwidewob on X) brought up an interesting topic the other day when discussing this Thunder team’s current dominance and roster depth to start the season. If this Thunder roster were cut in half, would each roster still make the playoffs? Does it depend on how the rosters were split? Would it depend on the conference each was in? Drop your thoughts below!
