Will LeBron James end up with the Golden State Warriors?

We're two weeks into the offseason, and LeBron James is still without a team.

The ball remains in LeBron's court as he reportedly has multiple teams interested in his services as he weighs his options.

Rich Paul revealed that the Minnesota Timberwolves, Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs, Denver Nuggets, Cleveland Cavaliers, New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, and Miami Heat were the top eight teams on LeBron's list.

The Nuggets, Spurs, and Knicks have seemingly fallen behind in the race, but the other five teams remain strong options for "The King."

The Warriors have been heavily linked to LeBron, even before he officially announced that he would not be returning to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Draymond Green Makes His Pitch

According to Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints, LeBron is giving strong consideration to the Warriors after a pitch from Draymond Green.

LeBron spent time with Draymond and Steph Curry during a recent golf outing and spent even more time with Draymond on a vacation.

Draymond and LeBron are close friends, which is a big reason why man linked LeBron to the Warriors as his free agency loomed. He has also spoken highly of Steph Curry and Warriors head coach Steve Kerr over the years. LeBron played alongside Curry and was coached by Kerr for Team USA.

On his podcast, Draymond said about his pitch to LeBron, "Of course I tried to convince LeBron. With what I told him, I think it's going to make him think a little. I don't think a decision has been made yet, but if it were, it would make you think twice."

Will It Work?

The big selling, at least for the general public, of LeBron going to the Warriors is that it pairs the two greatest players of this generation in the twilight of their careers as they search for one more ring.

For all the battles LeBron and Curry have had over the years, seeing them together would be something special. We got a glimpse of it in the Olympics, and it was magical, but for an entire season and a potential playoff run, it'll be something that goes down in history, good or bad.

Draymond knows LeBron perhaps better than anyone in the league, and he's also proven to be a master recruiter, famously talking Kevin Durant into joining the Warriors in 2016.

Bringing LeBron to the Bay a decade later would be another feather in his cap and great podcast material.
