Auburn football is emerging as the favorite to land four-star 2027 offensive lineman Jatori Williams following his decommitment from Miami. With an official visit scheduled for LSU weekend, Alex Golesh could add another major recruit to the Tigers' growing offensive line class.

The Auburn Tigers offensive line has been one of the biggest concerns through the first five games of the season, but Alex Golesh appears to be making progress toward fixing that problem for the future.

And the Tigers could be getting closer to adding another important piece to their 2027 recruiting class.

Four-star offensive lineman Jatori Williams recently decommitted from Miami, and Auburn has emerged as the favorite to land the Central-Phenix City standout.

Williams is ranked as the No. 113 overall prospect nationally and the No. 9 interior offensive lineman in the 2027 class, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking.

He's also Alabama's top-ranked offensive lineman.

And there's reason to believe Auburn has a legitimate opportunity to land him.

Williams has scheduled an official visit to Auburn for the weekend of Oct. 23-25, when the Tigers host LSU.

That will be his second trip to Auburn this season after previously visiting for the Florida game.

Perhaps more importantly, Rivals recruiting analysts Steve Wiltfong and Chad Simmons have both submitted predictions favoring Auburn to land Williams.

Obviously, nothing is guaranteed in recruiting, especially considering Williams has already been committed to Alabama and Miami during this cycle.

But adding him would be another significant development for Golesh.

Auburn already has four offensive linemen committed in its 2027 class, including Layton von Brandt, Reed Ramsier, Jaylen Moore, and Rance Brown.

That's important when you consider how Auburn has approached offensive line recruiting in recent years before Golesh. The Tigers have relied heavily on the transfer portal to fill holes up front, and the results haven't consistently been good enough.

Constantly trying to rebuild an offensive line with transfers makes it difficult to establish continuity and develop players within the program.

Golesh appears to be taking a different approach, which seems to be taken in a positive light by many inside the fanbase.

Instead of relying entirely on experienced transfers, Auburn is investing in high school offensive linemen who can develop together over multiple seasons.

And Williams would make that group even more impressive.

The Tigers still need to find ways to protect Byrum Brown this season, whoever starts for Auburn in 2027, and establish a consistent running game this season.

But there's reason to be encouraged about the direction of the position group.

Auburn has needed to build a stronger offensive line foundation for years.

And if Golesh can turn this recruiting momentum into actual development, the Tigers might finally be addressing that problem the right way.
