Fourteen Gators landed on the prestigious 2026 scouting list as head coach Jon Sumrall bolsters a star-studded roster featuring elite running back Jadan Baugh and a revamped defense.
The Florida Gators' top playmakers are generating tons of buzz ahead of the 2026 college football season.
With former Tulane Green Waves head coach Jon Sumrall taking over as the program's head coach, Florida was able to retain multiple key playmakers from the 2025 season, along with a few transfer portal additions. Sumrall's work this offseason should pay dividends in 2026, as this year's roster contains a slew of players that have caught the attention of NFL scouts.
On Tuesday, the East-West Shrine Bowl released its 2026 Watch List filled with 1,000 college football players, with 14 of the brightest stars from Florida making the cut.

Florida's Top Playmakers in 2026

Mandatory Credit: Bob Kupbens-Imagn ImagesDespite the arrival of Sumrall to the program this offseason, the Gators were able to retain star running back Jadan Baugh for the upcoming season, who is expected to be a top playmaker in the 2027 NFL Draft. Baugh is coming off an impressive 1,170-rushing-yard, eight-touchdown campaign in 2025.
Now, with plenty of experience under his belt, the highly decorated running back will not only be the main catalyst of the Gators' offense in 2026, but a frontrunner to win the Doak Walker Award, given to the best college running back.
In addition to an elite offensive weapon in Baugh, Sumrall also managed to land former Auburn wide receiver Eric Singleton Jr. in the transfer portal this offseason. Singleton showed promise in his first two seasons with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets under newly hired offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner, but struggled to produce with the Tigers in 2025.
The combination of wideouts Vernell Brown III, Dallas Wilson, and Singleton makes for a terrific pass-catching unit in 2026.
On defense, the combination of linebacker Myles Graham and safety Bryce Thornton is set to be the main difference-makers under Sumrall and company. The duo tallied 132 tackles, 10 pass breakups, three sacks, and three tackles for losses last season. With fellow linebacker Jaden Robinson also back in the mix, the defense will feature plenty of help within their front-seven unit.
