Florida State pulled off one massive recruiting move to close out the month, though on the basketball court with Martay Barnes.
What about on the gridiron?
Looks like head coach Mike Norvell and elevated offensive coordinator Tim Harris Jr. are tag teaming with courting a high-profile wide receiver four-star. This same prospect Cam Wade will win over FSU fans with these words he shared to Tom Loy of 247Sports on Friday.
"Florida State has been one of those schools at the top of my board for a couple of months. I recently got the chance to visit there for a Junior Day. I absolutely loved it," the star from Paducah Tilghman High in Kentucky Wade said to Loy.
He took a further dive into what he loved about Tallahassee and interacting with the Seminoles.
"The atmosphere, how close the coaching staff was to each other. Everything just really surprised me," Wade said. "I do most of my communication with the head coach, coach Norvell, and receivers coach, Coach Harris."
And his junior day visit won't be his last trip to FSU.
"I'm excited to be back in the spring, before getting back there in the summer for a third time," Wade said.
The 5-foot-11 WR is the state of Kentucky's No. 6 ranked prospect. He's currently "warm" on the Seminoles, signaling intrigue for FSU fans following recruiting.
However, there are two Atlantic Coast Conference challengers lurking for the speedy wideout.
"Georgia Tech is another school that recently has reached out," Wade tells Loy. "I got the chance to talk to the receivers' coach Jafar Williams. We got the chance to meet when he was the assistant receivers coach at Vandy [Vanderbilt] the last couple of years. When he got the job, he wasted no time reaching out. He was letting me know that it's an amazing place to be. I'm excited to be on campus for my first time, as well."
And the Yellow Jackets aren't the only ACC team in the mix.
"Louisville has always been a top contender as well," Wade said. "They do a great job of recruiting the state of Kentucky. With me now playing my football in the state of Kentucky, they have been doing a great job recruiting me as well. I was there for a game day visit early this fall. I'm excited to get back on campus and hear everything they have to offer. I haven't scheduled an official visit date yet. I definitely will be taking an official visit there though."
Wade hasn't decided when he'll make a decision. But FSU is among his three ACC favorites.
