The Georgia Bulldogs made another addition to the 2027 class.

The Georgia Bulldogs had a rough weekend, losing a complete shocker to the Auburn Tigers at home and falling in Sanford Stadium during the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry for the first time since 2005.

Kirby Smart is going to have to coach this team up during the bye week and figure out a way to get things right, but the news was not all bad for the Bulldogs over the course of the weekend. After the loss, Smart and the rest of the staff clearly got right back to work on the recruiting trail, and this showed on Sunday afternoon with a commitment flip that a lot of folks are very excited about.

Three-star safety Braylon Miller, who has been courted by the Bulldogs heavily the last few weeks despite being already committed to Liberty, elected to make the flip official and announce his pledge to head to Athens.

Georgia Steals Away In-State Safety Recruit Braylon Miller

Miller, a Newton High School star in Covington, has been committed to Liberty since June, but the Dawgs got in on his recruitment over the last month and for a kid who grew up in the Peach State, saying no to Georgia was never going to be in the cards.

"I really like their style of play,” Miller told Rivals. "Their intensity is there and they like to win, and I love to win. Those things stand out most about Georgia."

Miller also stated how Smart's experience coaching up defensive backs and sending them to the next level stood out in his decision to stay home, something which was undoubtedly discussed heavily during his various visits. Miller is a versatile chess piece, the exact type of player who winds up playing earlier at Georgia than others.

Standing at 5-foot-10 but weighing 190 pounds, the frame is there for Miller to be a standout player in the SEC, and the Dawgs could deploy him both as a safety or as a nickel cornerback.

Given the fact that Georgia had come up a little bit short throughout the spring and summer on several defensive back targets, grabbing someone like Miller before signing day has the potential to add some serious depth to a critical class. While he may not be the most highly rated player in the country or even in the state, when the Dawgs go after a defensive back talent, there's a reason why.

Miller could be the next one in a long line of players to have a whole lot of success in this defensive backfield.
