Georgia Had Two Massive Five-Star Targets in Atlanta for Florida Showdown

The Georgia Bulldogs had two of their biggest targets in the building.

The Georgia Bulldogs had the unique experience on Saturday of playing against their most hated rival within the confines of their state, taking on the Florida Gators in Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Folks in the stands though did not just include Bulldogs and Gators fans, and as it turned out, Georgia had some massive visitors in town who wanted to see the rivalry play out in real time from the class of 2028. It's early in the cycle and recruits are a ways away from actually putting pen to paper let alone just making a commitment, but two of the best players in the class who the Bulldogs are pursuing strongly were in the building.

According to some intel released during the week from UGA Sports, McEachern five-star defensive back -- rated by Rivals as the No. 2 overall player in the class -- Casey Barner was in the building along with the No. 2 player in the state of Georgia in defensive lineman Prince Che out of Thomas County Central.

Georgia Showed Different Side to Barner, Che

Playing a game in Atlanta gave the chance to show recruits a different side of the fanbase, and they always show up and make noise when it comes to a game in Mercedes-Benz.

Given that Barner and Che obviously grew up in the state of Georgia, getting to see the Bulldogs play in the state capitol in front of tens of thousands of screaming Bulldog fans in a state of the art NFL facility had to be an absolutely awesome time for the two young men.

There's a long way to go in the class of 2028, but Barner and Che have the capability to lead what absolutely could be one of the top groups in the entire nation and instantly become stars in Athens from the day they set foot on campus.

The recruiting game has changed and it's not as easy as it once was to close down the borders of the state and not let elite players get away from the Peach State, but it is obvious that both Barner and Che like Georgia a whole lot and Kirby Smart has a great chance at landing at least one if not both.

Assuming everything went well with the visit, perhaps Bulldogs fans may be able to get some very good news on these future superstars sometime in the very near future.
