The Georgia Bulldogs had a very interesting visitor in town this weekend.
The Georgia Bulldogs made some program history on Saturday afternoon in Athens when they debuted white helmets for the first time in a very unique Sanford Stadium environment.
With the fans all donned in white as well, it created an extremely cool atmosphere which those who were in the stands will not soon forget. As it turns out, it was far from just fans who were in attendance though. Once the season starts, recruiting as it relates to fan interest gets put a little bit on the back burner, but that does not mean this staff is not working hard behind the scenes to keep elite talent coming to Athens.
Numerous visitors were in attendance as they are for every home game, but the most fascinating just so happens to be one of the top players in the country who is currently committed to another powerhouse.
According to a report from over the weekend courtesy of Rivals and On3, five-star edge DJ Jacobs was on campus for a visit as the Bulldogs have continued to push for a flip since his commitment to Ohio State.

Jacobs -- who is an in-state prospect from Roswell -- has a long history of family ties with the Dawgs considering his father played at Georgia. While he has been committed to the Buckeyes since December, Kirby Smart and this coaching staff has not abandoned its pursuit of him.
Ultimately, this could be a situation where the Bulldogs may not be willing to match the likely massive NIL promises being made by Ohio State, but Jacobs is the kind of prospect who could be worth going all in for if Smart is willing to extend himself and the budget a little bit.
What Kind of Skillset Jacobs Would Bring to Georgia
Jacobs is rated by 247 as the No. 1 overall player in the nation, not just in the state of Georgia and not just at his position. This is a kid who has future All American potential, standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 240 pounds as one of the more ready-made pass rushers coming to college football in some time.
Until this weekend, he has seemed very solid with Ohio State, and perhaps the in-state visit is nothing more than just for fun on a short trip. With that being said, it's tough not to get a little bit excited with a player like Jacobs in town.
