A look at what Will Wade has built for the 2027 Men's Basketball Recruiting Class after adding Xavier Young.

The LSU Tigers added to their already elite 2027 recruiting class on Saturday afternoon, as five-star center Xavier Young committed and reclassified from 2028. Will Wade has assembled an incredible group of talented players already.

The Tigers not only have added a bunch of top recruits, but it's a very complimentary group of players as well. The only thing missing is a new swing, and then they'd have a dangerous starting five. Of course, they'll still go after some veterans in the transfer portal, but expect to see a lot of freshmen on the court next season.

Here is the updated look at this recruiting class, accounting now for the addition of Young:

PG Reese Alston

Alston committed to LSU on Thursday afternoon, which is what catapulted the Tigers to the top. He is the No. 9 overall player in the country and the fourth-ranked point guard.

If the name sounds familiar, his father, Rafer Alston, was an 11-year NBA veteran and a streetball legend. His son is also an elite playmaker who is expected to be the offensive engine of the Tigers as soon as he steps on campus. He may only be in Baton Rouge for a year or two if things go well, but it should be some of the best point guard play they have had in a while.

CG King Gibson

Starting next to Alston in the backcourt will be Gibson. With Donovan Dent and Skyy Clark gone after this year, this duo is going to take over immediately. Gibson is the No. 16 player in the country and the fourth-best combo guard. This is as good a freshman combination as there will be in the NCAA.

Gibson is a little bit bigger and should act as a great two-guard who can rock the rim and defend with the best of them.

PF Ahmad Hudson

Hudson is an interesting case. He is a five-star recruit in football, and most recruiting sites have him as a five-star in basketball as well. LSU will likely have him focus more on football as a superstar tight end, but it is expected that he's going to play basketball as well. He has elite potential in both sports as an incredible athlete. He'll be fun to watch no matter which jersey he dons in Baton Rouge.

C Xavier Young

Young will be on campus for at least two years, as he is still just 16 years old. He will obviously be a bit of a project before he is ready for the SEC, but the Tigers should have the facilities and programs to expedite that process and get him ready as soon as possible. The NBA is in his future, and he should become a dominant post player in college. He is already listed at 6-foot-10, 210 pounds, per On3Sports.
