The Oregon Ducks player suffered a knee injury during the team's College Football Playoff run.

For NFL hopefuls, the pre-draft showcases are important events to prospects to show their skills, traits, and abilities to all 32 teams and their decision-makers. The pinnacle event is the NFL Combine which will run from Feb. 23 through Mar. 2 ahead of the 2026 NFL draft. The Oregon Ducks saw a record 12 players make the Combine in 2025. This year, the team is sending nine players, good for the second-most in program history. Unfortunately, one of those invitees won’t be attending.

Ducks left tackle Isaiah World, who suffered a torn ACL in his left knee during the loss to the Indiana Hoosiers in the College Football Playoff, will not be heading to Indianapolis. He’ll likely see a resultant unfortunate slide in the draft. It’s an unavoidable risk in the sport, but it’s unfortunate for the 6-foot-8, 318-pound prospect who was a hopeful top-100 prospect. He also had to pull out of the Senior Bowl as well as a result.

Here is the full story from Ducks Roundtable writer Jordan Sigler on the major injury update.

He will be available for medical re-checks and 30 visits, but the prospect is recovering from surgery he had earlier this month. World had transferred from Nevada to Oregon and became a second-team All-Big Ten selection in his sole season with the Ducks. He will face a tougher uphill battle trying to make the league with a torn ACL, but he has the measurables and traits to be developed once he is at full health.
