The former Buckeyes star has been linked to many trade rumors of late.

Former Ohio State Buckeyes star wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. has been at the center of trade rumors over the last few weeks.

Since entering the NFL, Harrison has had all sorts of high expectations, but through the first few years of his career, he hasn't met them. Harrison, the No. 4 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals, has a lot of talent, but he just hasn't been able to stay consistent.

In his first season in the league, Harrison posted 62 catches for 885 yards and eight touchdowns. But in his second year, Harrison only caught 41 passes for 608 yards and four scores.

Arizona has wanted to see more from Harrison, and this could lead to the team moving him at the trade deadline this year. Harrison could net the Cardinals some future draft capital, but his value remains to be seen.

In the latest update on the trade rumors surrounding the former Ohio State star, ESPN has reported that Arizona isn't actively shopping Harrison. But the opposing teams are doing their due diligence on the veteran, in the chance that the Cardinals decide to change their minds.

Additionally, the Indianapolis Colts were one team mentioned as a possible landing spot for Harrison if he was moved. Indianapolis reportedly likes the idea of adding Harrison, bringing him to the team that his father set all sorts of receiving records.

Going to the Colts could give the former Buckeyes star the change of scenery that he needs, and Indianapolis could use another wide receiver. The Colts are looking to get their season back on track after starting 0-2, and they have won two straight games entering this current week.

Harrison could give quarterback Daniel Jones another weapon to use in the passing game, and maybe he could start to show what he can do in the NFL. Ohio State has produced plenty of star wide receivers in the NFL, with Harrison being one of the rare exceptions in recent memory.

But the wideout is still only 24 years old, giving him plenty of time to turn his career around, especially if he goes elsewhere. Harrison has a lot left in the tank, and if he were to be traded, he would likely be playing with a chip on his shoulder.

The former Ohio State star will be one of the biggest players to keep an eye on as the NFL trade deadline rolls around, with the Buckeye faithful paying close attention.
