Former Buckeyes star Marvin Harrison is sent to the Los Angeles Chargers in a new trade idea.

The Ohio State Buckeyes have seen all sorts of stars come through the program over the years, especially at the wide receiver position.

Ohio State has prided itself on being a place where wide receivers can develop to become stars in college, only to then translate that over to the NFL level. This has been true for many players, but sometimes it doesn't work out as planned.

The most recent example of this is former Buckeyes star Marvin Harrison Jr., who dominated in college, only to falter in the NFL so far. With Ohio State, Harrison has two straight seasons of putting up over 1,200 yards with 14 touchdowns.

Harrison looked like a surefire star in the NFL, and the Arizona Cardinals decided to take him with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. But since he was drafted, Harrison just hasn't been able to duplicate his success from the college level.

His rookie year was good, with Harrison posting 62 catches for 885 yards and eight scores with Arizona. But over the last few years, he hasn't been able to generate anything close to this, and it's caused all sorts of issues.

There have now been trade rumors involving Harrison to come about this season, and some around the league believe he could be moved. While Arizona has pushed back on this so far, a trade could make sense for all parties involved.

But in a new trade idea from Alex Kay of Bleacher Report, Harrison goes to a new location, with the Cardinals sending him to the Los Angeles Chargers. This could be one of the better landing spots for the former Ohio State star, offering him a chance to play with quarterback Justin Herbert.

Going to the Chargers could offer Harrison a chance to turn his career around, and Herbert is just the type of quarterback that could help him. Herbert has a strong arm, and is seen as one of the top players in the NFL.

Los Angeles has needed more help at the wide receiver position, and Harrison could change the narrative of his career. Arizona could net some future assets to build around while moving on from a failed draft bust.

This potential move could benefit both sides, with Harrison desperately needing a change of scenery before its too late. If the Cardinals do decide to part ways with the star wideout, the Chargers are one of the best spots for him to go.
