Oregon fans should be very excited about this young player, and he sounds just as excited to be committed to play in Eugene.

The Oregon Ducks have boasted one of the more elite football programs in the country for some time now, dating back to their days in the Pac-12. Their success has taken on a new form these past few years, and specifically in the world of recruiting.

A large part of that can be attributed to head coach Dan Lanning. Lanning has been behind some of the school's best recruiting classes of all time and even secured their best class of all time with the 2026 class.

This year, it seemed like they might be outgunned when USC was able to gain commitments from multiple players right under Oregon's nose. After losing out on Honor Fa'alave Johnson, Danny Lang, and Drew Fielder, all from the Southern California region, Oregon pivoted.

They pivoted by showing off the reach their brand and recruiting skills have nationally by signing back-to-back 4-star recruits from North Carolina and Alabama in edge Rashad Streets and cornerback Ai'King Hall

We recently got to hear from Hall about some of the best parts of his visit and what got him to commit to playing in Eugene.

Ai'King Hall Talks Oregon Recruitment and Visit

King is one of the top recruits in the country and finds himself as a top-40 player nationally and the 7th-ranked CB in the class of 2027. He visited Oregon this past weekend, and the commitment was soon to follow.

The other day, we got to hear from the newest Duck commit, and he gave us a little insight into his visit and how he views the program.

He said that everything felt right and that he really enjoyed his stay, and that from the facilities to players to coaches to meetings, everything was "amazing".

When asked to give one thing that stood out, Hall said, "The competitiveness. Everything was competitive on and off the field, everything. Bowling, playing NCAA, everything was just competitive."

That's certainly a solid way to build a national powerhouse on the part of Dan Lanning. Get competitors in the building who are ready to work regardless of what they're doing.

Hall also referenced his excitement about some of Oregon's defensive schemes and his fit within them, like their secondary running a lot of match man, stating, "I like playing man, and I'm really good at man. I love playing man, getting in people's face."

It seems to be a great fit overall, and it sounds like Hall is just as excited to get to Oregon as the fans are to eventually watch him suit up.
