SMU Women’s Golf senior Emily Odwin just added another line to a body of work that already screamed big-time performer.

The St. James, Barbados, native carries a 3.76 cumulative GPA as a Sport Management major and was perfect academically in the spring semester with a 4.00 GPA.
That’s elite discipline, especially while competing through the grind of a high-level ACC golf schedule.
And let’s be clear: this wasn’t just a good student getting rewarded for effort. Odwin was one of SMU’s best players during one of the program’s strongest seasons.
She earned All-ACC honors for the first time in her career and posted a 71.84 adjusted scoring average, a number tied for fifth-best in SMU single-season history.
Odwin also stacked up six top-10 finishes and nine top-20 results, giving the Mustangs steady production week after week. In college golf, that kind of consistency impresses.
SMU proved that in the postseason, capturing the NCAA Waco Regional title and advancing to the NCAA Championships.
The Mustangs finished 12th nationally, a strong statement for a program still building its profile on the biggest stage.
Odwin’s Academic All-District honor is the perfect snapshot of what her season became: sharp, steady and high impact. She delivered grades, scores and postseason results.
That’s the kind of year coaches sell in recruiting rooms. It’s also the kind of year that leaves a legacy.
