Follow every addition to Stanford football’s 2027 recruiting class, including quarterback Sione Kaho, offensive line commits Benjamin Lowther and Clint Lundin, and more future Cardinal talent
In just a few months, the new-look Cardinal will take the field for the first time. Highlighted by the hiring of first-year head coach Tavita Pritchard, a new era of Cardinal football has arrived. Stanford will be looking to make a bowl game for the first time since 2018.
With a roster full of new faces for 2026, like quarterback Davis Warren, the Cardinal have continued to focus on the future, assembling a strong foundation with its 2027 recruiting class, filled with big-name players.
Here is Stanford’s full 2027 recruiting class as it currently stands, including a potential answer at quarterback and a couple of solid options on the O-line. Updates will be made as more players announce their commitments and the class continues to come together.
QB Sione Kaho
A four-star recruit out of Lincoln High School in Tacoma, Kaho chose Stanford over offers from several other schools including Oregon, Arizona State, BYU and Cal, among others.
Kaho projects as a potential future answer at quarterback and could eventually compete for the starting role. When the time comes, he figures to be in stiff competition with 2026 recruit Michael Mitchell Jr.
OT Benjamin Lowther
A 6-foot-7, 335 pound three-star recruit, Lowther’s pledge is a massive one, bolstering a position group that has been a major problem for Stanford in recent seasons.
Lowther will face an uphill battle for immediate playing time as a true freshman, but the offensive line is a place where upgrades will be welcome.
DB Savoy Guidry
Receiving over 20 offers from prospective programs, Guidry has a chance to really revamp the defensive back corps for Stanford, coming in at a time when the Cardinal will lose several important pieces at the position.
A star in high school, Guidry has a lot of experience in big-game situations. If given the chance, he will waste no time in proving his worth on The Farm.
OT Clint Lundin
Another commitment for the offensive line, Lundin adds even more size, standing at 6-foot-6, 295 pounds. While the offensive line group will be crowded, Lundin and Lowther will each be given their shots at starting roles.
A star at nearby De La Salle in Concord, Lundin is staying local. With both O-line recruits, Stanford is looking to address arguably its biggest weakness over the past couple of seasons. If they get it right, the offense as a whole may begin to take off.
DL Brayden White
The newest member of the 2027 class, White committed to Stanford over the weekend after his official visit, choosing to come to The Farm over offers from Arizona, Baylor, Houston, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt.
At 6-foot, 300 pounds, White is not the biggest guy, but his physicality and toughness make up for what he is missing in size. Breaking out as a junior at Shepherd High School in Texas, recording eight sacks in nine games, White is ready for another big year in 2026 so that he can come to Stanford ready to make an impact right away.
OL George Tyrus
On Monday, May 25, the Cardinal signed offensive lineman George Tyus out of Antioch High School. Tyus is a three-star offensive tackle and chose Stanford over offers from plenty of other top notch programs including Cal, TCU, UCLA, Utah and Boise State among others.
Offensive line play has been a problem for Stanford in recent seasons, but the program is doing what it can to ensure those issues become a thing of the past.
TE Jude Chamberlain
Stanford football got good news to begin the month of June, getting a commitment from three-star tight end, Jude Chamberlain. Standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 235 pounds, Chamberlain brings both size and athleticism to the mix. A strong pass catcher and blocker, Chamberlain's versatility gives him a high ceiling and he will look to add his name to Stanford's coveted Tight End U list.
Chamberlain is a highly touted prospect and received roughly 17 offers from other big name programs, including Arkansas, Baylor, Florida, Texas Tech and Duke among others.
OL Braden Chaffin
Committing to Stanford on June 1, Chaffin is the fourth offensive lineman that the Cardinal have added to their '27 class, but he is the first interior lineman-- capable of playing both guard spots.
A three-star recruit, the 6-foot-6, 290 pound Stevenson High School star received interest from several other programs as well including UCLA, Minnesota and Louisville. Chaffin is a physical player with a high motor and while he may face stiff competition to play right away, he has a high ceiling that may make it hard to keep him off the field.
TE Ben Kolar
Since taking over as the head coach, Tavita Pritchard and staff have been cooking when it comes to recruiting, putting together a 2027 class that has all the makings to potentially be in the top 25. But getting a commitment from four-star tight end Ben Kolar puts them over the edge-- and may very well be the biggest commitment of the Tavita Pritchard era so far.
A star at Norman North in Oklahoma, Kolar is a highly touted recruit with offers from programs such as Oklahoma, Tennessee, Auburn and Arizona as well, but by committing to Stanford, his main goal now becomes to add his name to the Cardinal's exclusive list of Tight End U stars.
DB Evan Via
Stanford football has landed some very impressive recruits for 2027, but one of the most interesting storylines of that class is how many of the players have chosen Stanford over high profile Power Four schools, proving just how strong of a culture Pritchard and general manager Andrew Luck are building.
Via, a four-star recruit, committed to the Cardinal on Tuesday, June 9 after taking his official visit the previous weekend, giving the Cardinal 11 commits to their '27 class.
Via had over 20 offers, most notably from Arizona State, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Iowa State and Notre Dame.
EDGE Duke Carpenter
A three-star prospect, the Cardinal once again won the sweepstakes in landing a top recruit, getting a commitment from Carpenter late last week over offers from several other schools including Wake Forest, Rutgers, UCF and Kansas.
The 6-foot-5, 245 pound star from The Geneva School in Florida has amassed over 27 sacks between the last two seasons, and is eager to come to The Farm and prove that he has what it takes to shine at the Power Four level.
Carpenter may face difficulty getting immediate playing time, but if he uses his first year to develop, expect him to be a big piece to the puzzle down the line.
K/P Harris Mischke
The first five-star that the Cardinal have landed, Mischke brings immense versatility to The Farm and while the Cardinal could have a crowded kicker room still come 2027, Mischke should be able to earn field time right away in some capacity-- given that he is an elite punter as well.
A standout at Benedictine High School in Richmond, Virginia, Mischke went 40-for-40 on field goal attempts as a junior while ending the year as the team's leading points scorer. And for a Stanford program itching to start winning more consistently any way they can, having Mischke join the mix is essential.
Despite being a five-star, Mischke only received two other offers-- from Army and Navy, choosing Stanford because of its world-class academics and the opportunity to play Power Four football.
K Gabriel Goroyan
The second specialist that Stanford has added to its '27 class, Goroyan is a five-star talent and is the No. 5 ranked kicker in his class according to Kohl's. A star at Westlake High School, where he ended his junior season with 71 points scored, Goroyan was a highly touted player during his recruitment, receiving offers from nearly a dozen schools such as UCLA, Virginia, Colorado, Wake Forest and Florida State.
But Goroyan will instead come to The Farm, quickly buying into the culture that Tavita Pritchard and Andrew Luck are building, and prove that he has what it takes to be a starter from the jump.
Goroyan is the 14th player signed to Stanford's '27 class, and being the second five-star-- with more signings still to come for Stanford, this Cardinal class has all the makings to be in the top 25.
EDGE Troy Mailo
A three-star from Denver, Colorado, Mailo commits to Stanford over offers from several other prominent programs such as UCLA, Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado and Michigan, among others.
Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 252 pounds, Mailo brings the perfect combination of size and athleticism to the mix and not having had a player record double digit sacks in a season since 2017, the Cardinal could turn to Mailo to break the spell.
As a junior in high school, Mailo recorded eight sacks in 13 games and was a major focal point on defense, helping Mullen High School finished undefeated in league player.
RB AJ McBean
Continuing to assemble a strong '27 class, the Cardinal got a commitment from McBean on Tuesday, June 23, landing them the local three-star ball carrier from Junipero Serra in San Mateo.
Putting together three standout seasons at Mira Costa down in Manhattan Beach, McBean is hoping that playing in a competitive SoCal environment allows him to shine even brighter in the Bay Area. Not having a 1,000 yard rusher since Bryce Love in 2017, McBean is eager to prove himself on The Farm and cement his status as an under the radar star.
Highly touted as a prospect, McBean also had offers from schools such as Fresno State, Hawaii and Sacramento State, but chose to join the Cardinal in a Power Four conference.
ATH Marquis Fennell
Talk about a game changing commit. Originally expected to land at Florida State, the Cardinal made a late, down to the wire push for Fennell, eventually getting him to change his plans and come to Stanford after taking an official visit to The Farm.
Normally a running back, Fennell's versatility makes him the perfect player for Stanford's new offensive scheme, where he will get the chance to truly show what he can do. Finishing with over 2,000 all-purpose yards as a junior, Fennell is already a proven star who hopes to replicate that same level of success in college.
Receiving over 30 offers, Fennell also got interest from Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Houston, among many others.
DB Paisios Polamalu
The son of NFL legend Troy Polamalu, the Cardinal landed a big commitment from the three-star commit, bolstering their defensive back core even more. Listed at 5-foot-10, 175 pounds, Polamalu brings the perfect combination of size and athleticism-- and playing similarly to his dad, will fit in quite nicely with Kris Richard and his pro-style defense.
Despite his big name, Polamalu was not heavily recruited out of high school-- receiving offers only from USC, Arizona and Stanford.
OL Lauifi Tosi
The Cardinal have been able to catch the attention of a lot of recruits, mainly because of the culture that Pritchard and Luck are building. And Tosi is no different. Originally committed to North Carolina, the Cardinal managed to flip the three-star prospect's decision-- leading him to commit to Stanford on July 6. Now, the Cardinal add even more depth to an offensive line unit that has struggled in recent seasons with injuries and consistency. Standing at 6-foot-4, 325 pounds, Tosi brings the perfect size and could fight for immediate playing time in his first season of college football.
Tosi fielded seven offers during his recruitment from schools such as UNC, Stanford, Boise State, Washington State and Eastern Michigan.
