The Orange beat SMU on Saturday and now will travel to Cameron Indoor Stadium.

After earning a big win against Southern Methodist (SMU) on Saturday afternoon, the Syracuse University men's basketball team is a big underdog for Monday night's showdown with No. 4 Duke at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

The Orange enter play at 15-11 and 6-7 within Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) play. The Blue Devils are 23-2 and 12-1.

Here's what you need to know.

Uphill battle

As noted by ESPN, the Draftkings betting line has Duke as a 19.5-point favorite. the ESPN matchup predictor gives the Blue Devils a 96.2 percent at winning the game, with Syracuse earning just a 3.8 percent chance.

About Duke

One of the best teams in the country, Duke has also played a marquee schedule. They've beaten Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Florida, Michigan State, Louisville, SMU and Clemson. Nearly all of those teams were ranked. The only losses? A buzzer-beater against North Carolina and a one-point loss against Texas Tech, also ranked teams.

Freshman Cameron Boozer is one of the best players in the country, averaging 22.8 ppg and 9.9 rebounds. Two other Blue Devils average in double-figures.

Keys for the Orange

To be truthful, the Orange need to play almost a perfect game to beat Duke. They'll need to get star efforts from Donnie Freeman and JJ Starling, while also getting significant contributions from Nate Kingz, Naithan George and William Kyle III.

Someone from the bench, whether it's Tyler Betsey, Sadiq White or Kiyan Anthony, will need to step up as well. The Orange will have to shoot well from distance, like they did on Saturday, when they hit 11 three-pointers.

They can't turn the ball over.

And Kyle is going to have play an excellent defensive game on Boozer, presuming he ends up on him a lot of the time. Kyle is an excellent interior defender who is averaging 2.7 blocks per contest.

Other thing to note

Both teams played on Saturday, but the Orange are the only team who has had to travel since then, meaning they have both a quick turnaround and a flight to contend with. The last time this happened, Syracuse found itself down by more than 25 in the second half against North Carolina.
