Elijah Moore previously played at Florida State.

Another day, another transfer portal commit for the Syracuse University football team and head coach Fran Brown.

According to Matt Zenitz, the Orange have officially brought in wide receiver Elijah Moore, formerly of Florida State.

Per Zenitz on "X:"

Syracuse has landed a commitment from former Florida State wide receiver Elijah Moore, his agent @Aaron_Bartko tells @CBSSports. The 6-foot-4, 205-pounder was a Class of 2024 four-star recruit. Had a 19-yard catch vs. Pitt this season.

More about Moore

A Maryland native, he has only five catches in two seasons, totaling 72 yards. As noted by Brent Axe of Syracuse.com, he has three years of eligibility left because he earned a redshirt for one of his seasons. He was the No. 1 player in Maryland for his recruiting class.

How the Orange have done in the portal

SU had 30 of its own players enter the portal, and so far the program has gotten seven new commitments from it. There's also a good possibility that receiver Umari Hatcher returns as well, as he withdrew his name from the portal on Thursday.

Here are the confirmed additions so far:

Ahmad Miller, RB (Jackson State)

Jartavius Flounoy, DT (Georgia State)

Cole Weaver, WR (Miami of Ohio)

Ju'Juan Johnson, RB (LSU)

Michael Smith, TE (South Carolina)

Chris D'Appolonia, LB (Toledo)

Elijah Moore, WR (Florida State)

About the wide receiver additions

Moore joins Weaver on the Orange roster, and the latter had 45 catches this past season at Miami (OH). He also had 642 yards and a touchdown, and he also has two years of eligibility left. Syracuse has also added five-star freshman recruit Calvin Russell out of the Florida high school ranks. He is one of the highest-profile recruits ever for the Orange and should also make an instant impact.

Johnson, a running back, is also a good receiver and will likely factor into the passing game as well.
