After losing several key players in the portal already, Felisha Legette-Jack's team is hard at work looking to replenish the roster.

After getting to the NCAA Tournament this past season - and winning a game - it shouldn't be this way, but it is.

Despite the success of 2025-26, the Syracuse women's basketball team is looking to replace a large portion of its roster because of the transfer portal.

At least five members of this year's Orange team are already in the portal, including key contributors Sophie Burrows and Maddie Potts, meaning that head coach Felisha-Legette Jack has at least five players to replace.

And Legette-Jack is hard at work trying to do just that.

As noted by Dushawn London of On3, Oregon transfer Sarah Rambus is visiting Syracuse this weekend. A rising senior from Michigan, Rambus played in 36 games this season, starting 17. She averaged 6.3 points and 2.4 rebounds per contest. At 6-3, she'd certainly be a member of the front court, pairing with Uche Izoje, who won the ACC's Rookie of the Year award. Rambus has never attempted a three-pointer, making that conclusion about her potential role all the way more clear.

Rambus couldn't have picked a better time to visit Syracuse, as Saturday will be the busiest sports days on campus this spring. For starters, the No. 3 women's lacrosse team is in action at noon ET against No. 19 Notre Dame. Then, the nationally-ranked men's lacrosse team takes on Virginia in the middle session, and the SU football team hosts its annual spring game at night.

If you couple those three events with solid April weather, there's likely no better light to show off the university under. We'll see if Rambus is moved by the moment, but Syracuse will be putting its best foot forward in recruiting her.

The Syracuse men's basketball team also continues to navigate the transfer portal. The Orange have lost (presumably) several players, including starting point guard Naithan George and power forward Donnie Freeman. Role player Tyler Betsey is also looking to leave.

However, the Orange have wrapped up two transfer commits of their own, including Siena transfer Gavin Doty, who should be a big part of the group. Rising sophomore Sadiq White Jr. announced earlier this week that he was returning.
