TCU Men’s Tennis Dominates Tulsa, Cruises Into ITA Indoor Nationals cover image

The TCU Horned Frogs put on a flawless performance, shutting out Tulsa. Eight players contributed to this dominant victory, setting a powerful tone for ITA Indoor Nationals.

TCU men’s tennis barely broke a sweat in its final tune-up before the ITA Indoor Nationals, dispatching Tulsa with a convincing 4-0 shutout Friday at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.

In a match that lasted roughly 90 minutes, the fifth-ranked Horned Frogs delivered a clean, efficient performance that reinforced why they remain one of the nation’s elite programs.

Improving to 7-1 on the season, TCU didn’t drop a single set and showcased its depth by using eight different players across doubles and singles.

Even with key starters Duncan Chan, Cosme Rolland De Ravel, and Cooper Woestendick resting in singles after Thursday’s win over No. 19 Baylor, the Frogs never lost momentum.

The tone was set immediately in doubles.

Oliver Bonding and Woestendick made quick work of Tulsa’s top pair, handing out a 6-0 sweep at the No. 1 line. Moments later, the 22nd-ranked duo of Chan and Rolland De Ravel secured the doubles point with a composed 6-2 victory.

That pairing remains perfect on the year at 11-0 overall and 6-0 in dual matches, while TCU as a team has yet to lose a doubles point this season.

Once singles play began, the outcome felt inevitable. Bonding struck first, cruising to a 6-1, 6-2 win on court two to stretch the lead to 2-0. Left-handers Roger Pascual and Maximus Dussault followed suit, each delivering straight-set victories to close out the match.

Pascual earned a 6-1, 6-3 decision, while Dussault, ranked No. 105 nationally, clinched the dual with a 6-1, 6-2 win ... the first match-clinching victory of his collegiate career.

Behind the final score, the numbers tell an even bigger story. TCU has now gone 49-5 overall and 26-2 at home on indoor courts over the past five seasons. Since 2022, the Horned Frogs have recorded 23 indoor shutouts, and Friday’s result marked their 20th straight doubles point on the purple courts.

Individually, Bonding capped a flawless week, improving to 9-2 overall this season and helping TCU dominate both doubles and singles.

Dussault moved to 4-0 in dual singles play and 10-2 overall, while Pascual extended his singles winning streak to three matches.

With the ITA Indoor Nationals up next in Waco, head coach David Roditi couldn’t have asked for a cleaner final rehearsal. The Frogs now turn their attention to the national stage, fully healthy, confident, and very much in championship form.
