TCU baseball dropped three straight at Oklahoma State, raising concerns after late-game collapses and a costly series sweep.

FORT WORTH - TCU baseball left Stillwater with more than just three losses.

The Horned Frogs walked away searching for answers after a brutal sweep by Oklahoma State that exposed lingering issues at the worst possible time.

The weekend started with promise but quickly unraveled. TCU dropped the opener 7-6 in heartbreaking fashion as Oklahoma State’s Kollin Ritchie delivered a walk-off home run—his third of the game and 25th of the season.

The Frogs had built a 6-3 lead earlier, only to watch it disappear late.

Game 2 followed a familiar script. TCU briefly grabbed momentum behind Chase Brunson’s two-run double, but the offense stalled while the Cowboys erupted late for a 9-2 win.

Pitching depth became a concern, with Tommy LaPour surrendering five runs in relief during a pivotal inning.

Then came the moment everyone was talking about. Head coach Kirk Saarloos was ejected after arguing a replay decision and later suspended two games.

The incident quickly went viral and overshadowed what was already slipping away for TCU on the field.

Sunday looked like a chance to salvage something. The Frogs jumped out to an early 8-3 lead, powered by a seven-run inning and home runs from Brunson, Jack Arthur, Brady Dallimore and Rob Liddington.

But once again, the bullpen couldn’t hold. Oklahoma State stormed back, outscoring TCU 8-2 the rest of the way to complete the sweep with an 11-10 win.

Across the series, the numbers tell the story. TCU struck out 39 times and left 27 runners on base. Despite hitting six home runs, the Frogs couldn’t capitalize in key moments.

Connor Shouse was a bright spot, while veterans like Tracer Lopez continued steady production.

But inconsistency remains the theme. Sawyer Strosnider went hitless over the weekend, and freshman Lucas Franco continues to search for rhythm at the plate.

Now sitting at 29-18 overall and 13-11 in Big 12 play, TCU has little margin for error. The Frogs return home to face Utah before a critical road series at West Virginia.

There’s still time to recover. But after what happened in Stillwater, the urgency just got real.
