TCU loses freshman catcher Brady Dallimore to Ole Miss, adding to major roster churn behind the plate after a 33-21 season without an NCAA bid.

TCU baseball just took another punch from the transfer portal, and this one lands right behind the plate.

Freshman catcher Brady Dallimore, one of the Horned Frogs’ most promising young pieces, has signed with Ole Miss after one season in Fort Worth, according to On3’s Pete Nakos.

For TCU, it’s not just a departure. It’s a roster problem that now demands an answer.

Dallimore brought real thump as a freshman. The 6-4, 240-pound catcher appeared in 38 games, made 33 starts and earned Big 12 All-Freshman Team honors in 2026.

He hit .270 with a .373 on-base percentage and a .549 slugging mark, adding eight home runs, eight doubles, 23 RBI, 28 runs and 33 hits.

The bigger issue is the position itself.

Dallimore split time with sophomore Nolan Traeger, who also entered the portal after the season.

So now TCU has watched both of its primary catchers move on after a year that already ended with frustration.

The Horned Frogs finished 33-21 and missed the NCAA Tournament despite entering the season ranked inside the preseason top 10.

That’s not exactly the offseason reset TCU wanted.

Ole Miss, meanwhile, is cashing in after its College World Series run. The Rebels have already added Louisiana Tech first baseman Trey Hawsey, who hit .335 with 15 home runs, and USC Upstate right-hander Brent Stukes.

Stukes told the Ole Miss Spirit his goal was simple: “get to Omaha.”

Dallimore now joins that push with three years of eligibility remaining and a bat that already looks SEC-ready.

For TCU, the message is just as clear. The portal doesn’t care about potential, depth charts or long-term plans.

The Frogs had a freshman catcher with power and upside. Now Ole Miss has him.
