TCU women’s tennis heads to Texas Tech and Colorado with a chance to secure a share of the Big 12 title after a record-setting regular season.
TCU women’s tennis is heading into its final regular-season weekend with more than momentum on the line.
The No. 20 Horned Frogs will travel to face Texas Tech on Thursday and Colorado on Saturday, carrying a chance to lock up at least a share of the Big 12 championship for the first time in program history.

That opportunity didn’t come by accident.
TCU enters the weekend at 16-3 overall and 9-2 in Big 12 play, already setting a new program mark for conference wins since joining the league.
Now the Frogs have a shot to turn a strong season into a historic one before the postseason even begins.
TCU got back on track last week after a narrow 4-3 loss to Utah by rolling past BYU in a 4-0 sweep on Senior Day.
The Horned Frogs grabbed the doubles point quickly, then finished the job in singles behind wins from Cristina Ramos Sierra, Jennifer Jackson and Cayetana Gay.
What has made this team so dangerous is its depth.
The Frogs have piled up wins throughout the lineup, especially on the lower courts. TCU is 13-1 on court four and 14-1 on court five, while court three has produced an 11-3 mark and court six sits at 10-1. That balance has helped steady the team all spring.
Several players have been central to that consistency. Yu-Chin Tsai owns a 12-1 record in dual singles matches, while Gay is 11-0 and Ramos Sierra is 10-2.
At the top of the lineup, Raquel Caballero Chica has continued to deliver, highlighted by a 5-1 singles stretch in March that included two ranked victories.
Now TCU faces a road test against a Texas Tech team that has been competitive in league play, followed by a Colorado squad the Frogs have never lost to.
If TCU handles business this weekend, the Horned Frogs won’t just enter the Big 12 Tournament hot. They’ll head to Orlando with a piece of history already in hand.
