The Raiders are impressed with former Horned Frog wideout Jack Bech after early offseason workouts.

Former TCU wide receiver Jack Bech is entering a golden opportunity to contribute to an NFL team looking to rebuild around offensive firepower.

The Las Vegas Raiders now boast a young three-headed core of quarterback Fernando Mendoza, running back Ashton Jeanty and tight end Brock Bowers on offense.

New coach Klint Kubiak has plenty of options to work with now that he's found his QB of the future at the top of the 2026 NFL Draft. Even if Kirk Cousins is the Week 1 starter, the offense has more optimism around it than ever in recent years.

Bech is included in that group, but he's still trying to earn his stipes and become a more consistent target, especially now that he has new teammates throwing to him.

In the early offseason programs, Raiders reporter Jesse Merrick has been impressed with the former Horned Frog and believes he'll be making the most of his opportunity this season.

Merrick scouts that Bech was one of the standouts of OTAs, and that the staff is formulating a "real plan" to maximize his skillset and put him in opportunistic spots within Kubiak's Super Bowl-winning offense. Kubiak is taking over the Raiders' regime  as a first-time head coach after serving as the Seattle Seahawks' offensive coordinator during last year's dominant run that produced Offensive Player of the Year receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

"Honestly, because we didn’t see Bech much last year, I hadn’t really considered him a yards-after-catch option," said Yahoo! Sports reporter Matt Harmon. "But I remember looking back at the prospect data I had from last year, and in terms of broken tackles, he went down on first contact on just 15 percent of his in-space attempts…

"[And a] 15 percent dropped on the first contact rate, that’s insane. It’s one of the lowest I’ve ever charted. He was definitely a threat as a prospect with the ball in his hands."

Bech caught 20 passes for 224 yards as a rookie last season under offensive coordinator Chip Kelly and head coach Pete Carroll. He was chosen by Las Vegas in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

In Fort Worth, Bech broke out as a senior for 1,034 yards on 62 receptions, nine of which were touchdowns.

"I think there are brighter things on the horizon for Jack Bech," Merrick said at OTAs. "Already, Jack Bech is in a much better place, and I think he’s going to be set up to succeed in this offense, and we got little glimpses of that today."
