Mike Elko and Texas A&M are raiding Florida again, with five-star linebacker Kaden Henderson becoming the latest elite Aggies pledge.
Texas A&M recruiting is starting to look less like a hot streak and more like a hostile takeover.
Mike Elko added another massive piece Thursday when five-star linebacker Kaden Henderson committed to the Aggies, giving Texas A&M its 10th top-100 prospect in the 2027 class.

In an NIL era where nearly every Power Four heavyweight can come to the table with money, the Aggies are winning with something just as valuable: momentum, relationships and a vision recruits clearly believe in.
And right now, Florida is becoming a major part of that vision.
Texas A&M already proved it could go into another talent-rich state and win big.
In the 2026 cycle, the Aggies hammered the Georgia pipeline by landing four top prospects from the Peach State.
Now Elko’s staff is doing similar damage in Florida, where prying blue-chip players away from the Florida Gators, Miami Hurricanes and Florida State Seminoles is never supposed to be easy.
That hasn’t stopped Texas A&M.
Henderson’s commitment gives the Aggies another elite Sunshine State win and adds even more bite to a class that already looks like one of the nastiest in the country.
Five-star edge rusher Zyron Forstall and five-star offensive tackle Mark Matthews headline the Florida haul as the program’s No. 1 and No. 2 commitments.
Rising four-star defensive lineman Frederick Ards III is also in the boat, while three-star athlete Loia Valade gives the Aggies another versatile piece from the state.
But Henderson isn’t just another high-end commit.
He’s the first five-star linebacker to pledge to Texas A&M under Elko, Jimbo Fisher or Kevin Sumlin.
For a defensive-minded head coach trying to put his stamp on the program, that’s not a small note. That’s a statement.
Elko has sold Texas A&M as a place where elite defensive players can develop, play meaningful football and help build something that lasts.
Henderson buying into that message gives the Aggies another centerpiece for a class already loaded with national relevance.
And the scary part for the rest of the SEC? Texas A&M might not be done in Florida.
Five-star wide receiver Eric McFarland is still on the board, took an official visit to College Station late last month and is scheduled to announce his commitment on June 28.
The Aggies already have momentum and reportedly have a strong position in that recruitment.
If Elko lands McFarland too, the conversation changes from “Texas A&M is recruiting well” to something much louder.
The Aggies aren’t just visiting Florida anymore. They’re taking players home.
