The Aggies receiver has seen his draft stock rise over the past couple of weeks, and in CBS Sports' latest mock, he lands with an NFC powerhouse.
The NFL Draft is edging closer, and Texas A&M's KC Concepcion is seeing his draft stock rise as the days go by.
Seen by many as a first-round selection and, at worst, an early second-round pick, the receiver is going to have a lot of admirers on draft day.
But where could the star receiver land?
Armed with elite route-running and the slippery ability to pick up ample yards after the catch, going to an NFL offense that utilizes that would be ideal.
Coming off an All-American season with the Aggies, Concepcion posted 919 yards and 9 TDs from 61 receptions to firmly put himself into the thoughts of nearly every NFL team.
But as the draft approaches, which team should be taking KC in the first round?
CBS Sports' Josh Edwards has Concepcion landing in perhaps the best spot possible, with the San Francisco 49ers.
"KC Concepcion offers the schematic flexibility to play inside or outside," Edwards wrote. "Kyle Shanahan will put him in the best position to succeed in a revamped receiver room that no longer includes staples such as Jauan Jennings, Deebo Samuel or Brandon Aiyuk."
Concepcion's yards after catch will be a big weapon if he lands in San Francisco.
Given the way Kyle Shanahan likes to get his weapons the ball out in space quickly, to then allow them to turn upfield, Concepcion could be a serious threat for the 49ers.
With Brock Purdy throwing him the ball, and others in Christian McCaffrey, Mike Evans, Ricky Pearsall, and George Kittle all taking the defense's attention, Concepcion could develop nicely in his rookie season.
Given the situation with Brandon Aiyuk, the 49ers could be looking for his replacement, and that might just be Concepcion.
We know how well Shanahan schemes his players open, and for Concepcion, being in this system, with the talent around him, you could make the case that this is the ideal spot for him to land.
Will he last until pick 27, though? That is a conversation starter.
But if he does, and the 49ers take him, that could give the NFC West franchise a seriously good set of offensive weapons for Purdy.
