Texas commit Jackson Cook will visit Austin in June as Steve Sarkisian’s 2027 class continues building around future QB Dia Bell.

Texas Longhorns commit Jackson Cook is heading back to Austin for a closer look at his future. The 2027 offensive line prospect has scheduled an official visit for June 19-21, giving Steve Sarkisian and his staff another chance to strengthen the bond with one of their in-state building blocks.

Cook, an Austin Westlake standout, is already committed to Texas, but visits still matter.

They give recruits a chance to spend time around the program, meet future teammates and get a real feel for how they’ll fit once they arrive on campus.

The 2027 recruit is viewed as a notable interior offensive line prospect. According to 247Sports, Cook is ranked as the No. 73 interior offensive lineman in the class and the No. 138 player in Texas.

That may not make him the flashiest name in the Longhorns’ class, but offensive line depth is one of the biggest pieces in building a College Football Playoff contender.

Texas had to beat out several Power Four programs to land him. Cook drew offers from Arizona, Baylor, South Carolina, Texas A&M, UCLA, Kansas State and Houston before choosing the Longhorns.

He also joins a 2027 Texas recruiting class that’s already gaining momentum. Four-star prospects Easton Royal, Cameron Hall, Derwin Field, Karnell James and Keyon Hemphill-Woods headline the group, while Noah Roberts, JT Geraci, Cade Haug and Ty Knutson add more depth. The class currently sits inside the national top 15.

Long term, Cook could become part of the protection plan for Dia Bell, the highly regarded quarterback expected to lead Texas after the Arch Manning era.

Cook’s debut is still down the road, but his June visit is another reminder that Texas isn’t just chasing a title now. The Longhorns are stacking the future, too.
