Texas will make the trip up to Omaha for the 39th time in program history after taking care of business on home turf.
The Texas Longhorns momentarily blew a 4-0 lead in Game 2 of the Austin Super Regional on Sunday night, but like he's done all postseason, Adrian Rodriguez kept driving in runs when it mattered most.
Rodriguez ripped a double down the left field line that scored two in the top of the eighth inning before closer Sam Cozart earned a six-out save.
No. 6-seed Texas took down No. 11 Oregon 6-4, taking two from the Ducks on the weekend and punching a ticket to the Men's College World Series.
It will be the Longhorns' NCAA record 39th appearance in Omaha in program history.
"Certainly excited to win the game," said head coach Jim Schlossnagle - who became the fourth coach in history to lead three different programs to the MCWS.
"Very proud of our entire team. Looking forward to getting to Omaha."
The Longhorns' offense came out in a fury with Aiden Robbins and Carson Tinney hitting back-to-back home runs to lead off the game against Oregon's ace pitcher. For Robbins, his 24th homer of the year tied Kody Clemens for the third-most in a single season in Texas history.
Next inning, Ashton Larson scored from third on a wild pitch as Robbins worked a walk. Tinney built the lead more with an RBI single.
The Ducks picked it up against Texas starter Ruger Riojas with an RBI single in the second inning, a pair of run-scoring base hits in the third, and a sacrifice groundout in the fifth.
Oregon took the lead 5-4 in the seventh inning after a leadoff double was brought home on a sacrifice grounder.
Rodriguez built on his stellar Super Regional with what turned out to be the game-winning hit. The Texas rally leading up to that - Tinney's walk, Anthony Pack Jr. getting hit by a pitch, and Temo Beccera's single - all came with two outs.
The third baseman Rodriguez finished the weekend batting .500 with seven runs batted in. According to Texas Athletics, the Horns finished play at UFCU Disch-Falk Field with the most home wins in a season since 2011.
The Longhorns advance to face a familiar foe, the SEC-champion and No. 3-seed Georgia Bulldogs.
