Texas baseball rallied from three runs down, then beat Oklahoma 4-3 in 10 innings as Ashton Larson delivered the walk-off hit to clinch the series.

Texas baseball kept the momentum rolling Friday night, and this one came with plenty of drama.

The No. 2 Longhorns erased a three-run deficit and stunned No. 8 Oklahoma with a 4-3 walk-off win in 10 innings, locking up the weekend series in Austin.

The Longhorns didn’t have much going early, but they never let the game drift away. Texas baseball stayed within striking distance behind another strong pitching effort, then finally broke through late as Oklahoma’s grip started to loosen.

Luke Harrison gave Texas exactly what it needed on the mound, working seven innings while allowing three runs on five hits and striking out six.

After that, Sam Cozart slammed the door. The reliever tossed three hitless innings, struck out three, and improved to 5-0 on the season.

That setup gave the offense time to respond.

Texas began chipping away in the seventh inning after forcing Oklahoma into a stretch of wildness. Four straight walks helped the Longhorns crack the scoreboard, and Carson Tinney followed with a sacrifice fly that suddenly made it a one-run game. From there, the pressure kept building.

In the ninth, Ethan Mendoza sparked the comeback by ripping a leadoff triple to deep center.

Two pitches later, Tinney came through again, this time with the game-tying RBI single that brought the crowd to life and sent the game into extra innings.

Then came the finish.

In the 10th, Ashton Larson delivered the biggest swing of the night, lining the walk-off single that sent Texas pouring out of the dugout.

It was the Longhorns’ first walk-off win of the season and another sign that this club is learning how to win in different ways.

Texas also showed serious patience at the plate, drawing 12 walks and forcing Oklahoma pitchers to throw 211 pitches across 9 1/3 innings.

Now the Longhorns will try to finish the job Saturday and complete a sweep of Oklahoma for the first time in 12 years.
