Anderson averaged 18.5 points per game, led the Big 12 in assists and set a Texas Tech single-season record with 244 assists.
That’s not just production. That’s control.
Anderson was the engine for Texas Tech all season, finishing fifth nationally in assists while also ranking fifth in the Big 12 in scoring.
He knocked down 108 3-pointers, the second-most in program history, and shot 41.5 percent from deep on 260 attempts.
His season started with a warning shot: 34 points and 11 assists in the opener.
From there, he barely slowed down. Anderson scored in double figures 30 times, topped 20 points in 12 games, hit 30-plus twice and finished with eight double-doubles.
The big-game resume is real, too.
He dropped 27 points in a win over No. 3 Duke at Madison Square Garden, added 12 points and nine assists against No. 6 Houston, and posted 18 points with five assists in Texas Tech’s NCAA Tournament win over Akron.
Anderson leaves Lubbock after two seasons with 983 points, 321 assists and 179 made 3-pointers in 68 career games.
He also earned All-Big 12 First Team honors and three All-America selections, including third-team recognition from the Associated Press, USBWA and The Sporting News.
