Douglas had a very productive two seasons with the Red Raiders, and now that has put him on the radar of NFL teams.

The NFL Draft is fast approaching, and for players like Texas Tech's Caleb Douglas, these next two weeks are crucial.

With players going all over the country on top 30 visits, most NFL teams will draft from the selection of players they meet.

Of course, there are times when teams do, but for the most part, the players coming in for visits are the ones who could get drafted to that team.

When it comes to Douglas, his efforts last season saw him post 846 yards and 7 TDs on 54 receptions. It is also worth noting that he averaged a crisp 15. 7 yards per reception, so Douglas is a chain mover.

According to Jordan Schultz, Douglas is on the radar of several NFL teams, having already had top-30 visits with the Houston Texans, Philadelphia Eagles, and Los Angeles Rams.

But that isn't all.

Douglas also reportedly has a visit with the Arizona Cardinals, and has already had private workouts with the New Orleans Saints, Denver Broncos, and Minnesota Vikings.

So that is seven NFL teams that wanted to get a closer look at Douglas.

After starting his college career in Florida, his game never really took off, with no more than 11 receptions and 177 yards in any season.

But when he made the switch to Texas Tech, he exploded.

Back-to-back seasons of 50+ receptions and over 840 yards, along with a combined 13 TDs, Douglas was able to show his talents, and now NFL teams have him on their watch list.

Douglas possesses the qualities that could make him a dangerous weapon in the right offensive system.

A matchup nightmare at 6'3, the big-bodied weapon will be a go-to threat in the red zone, but if you thought he was a one-trick pony, you're wrong.

Boasting 4.39 speed from his 40-yard dash, Douglas can be used in a variety of different ways. Comfortable going up and making contested catches, Douglas could be seen as a weapon that teams simply have to cover on every down, as the long bombs in his direction could often lead to big gains.

Not likely to be selected in the first couple of rounds, but there could be value in the later rounds.

And given the sheer number of NFL visits, Douglas appears to be one name we will be watching intently on draft night.
