Texas Tech softball makes history with four NFCA All-Americans as the Red Raiders enter the WCWS against Mississippi State.
Texas Tech softball is heading into the Women’s College World Series with serious national heat, and now the awards are backing it up.
The Red Raiders placed a program-record four players on the 2026 NFCA All-America teams, giving Texas Tech another major headline before its WCWS opener against Mississippi State in Oklahoma City.
Kaitlyn Terry, NiJaree Canady, Mia Williams and Jackie Lis all earned national recognition after powering one of the best seasons in school history.
Terry landed on the first team, while Lis earned third-team honors. Both are first-time NFCA All-Americans.
Canady and Williams were named to the second team, continuing their run as two of the most feared names in college softball.
Canady’s resume is getting ridiculous. She’s now been a consensus All-American in three straight seasons and remains one of the sport’s most dominant pitchers.
She owns a 1.05 career ERA, leads all active players in that category and is the only active player with both 1,100 strikeouts and 100 career wins.
That’s video game stuff.
Williams has been just as dangerous at the plate. She has set program records this season with 24 home runs, 82 RBI and 86 runs, giving Texas Tech a legitimate game-wrecker in the middle of the lineup.
Lis has delivered a monster breakout of her own, posting career highs across the board.
Her numbers include 20 home runs, 71 RBI, 69 hits, 11 doubles, three triples, 146 total bases, a .439 batting average, a .930 slugging percentage, a .547 on-base percentage and 40 walks.
Then there’s Terry, who has been the rare two-way force. She enters the WCWS leading Texas Tech in both ERA and batting average.

Add in Mihyia Davis earning second-team All-America honors from D1Softball and Softball America, and the message is obvious.
Texas Tech isn’t just happy to be in Oklahoma City. The Red Raiders are arriving with stars, power and a real shot to make noise.
