Texas Tech women’s tennis had four players earn All-Big 12 honors before its NCAA Tournament opener against Yale.

Texas Tech women’s tennis is headed into the NCAA Tournament with fresh Big 12 recognition and plenty of momentum.

Four Lady Raiders earned All-Big 12 honors, led by senior Hailey Murphy, who was named First Team All-Big 12 in singles.

Murphy also teamed with Yekaterina Dmitrichenko to earn First Team All-Big 12 doubles honors.

Murphy has been Texas Tech’s top singles player this season, leading the team with 22 overall wins and 14 dual-match victories.

Playing mostly at No. 1 singles, she has gone 12-6 while adding five Big 12 wins and a team-best six ranked victories.

The Murphy-Dmitrichenko pairing has been one of the league’s strongest doubles teams. The duo owns a 25-4 overall record and a 22-3 mark in dual play, all at court one.

They were dominant in conference action, going 12-1 while adding three ranked doubles wins.

Dmitrichenko also earned Second Team All-Big 12 singles honors after posting 11 dual wins and a 5-2 conference record.

She played primarily at No. 2 singles and recently handed Arizona State’s Vivian Ovrootsky, the Big 12 Newcomer of the Year, her first dual singles loss of the season.

Texas Tech’s doubles depth was recognized, too. Mariia Hlahola and Elena Daskalova were named Second Team All-Big 12 doubles after going 11-6 in dual play at court two and 6-3 against Big 12 opponents.

The awards arrive at the perfect time for Texas Tech, which is preparing for its 14th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. The Lady Raiders open Saturday at 10 a.m. against Yale in Austin.

With Murphy leading the top of the lineup and two proven doubles teams setting the tone, Texas Tech has a strong postseason foundation.
