The Tulane Green Wave are putting in efforts to upgrade their game day experience for fans ahead of the 2026 season.
The Tulane Green Wave are getting set for their home kickoff which will succeed their season opener against the Duke Blue Devils, and it looks like Yulman Stadium will have quite a few upgrades and new experiences to kick off 2026.
That starts with six themed home games that will all have fun experiences and giveaways – starting with some September Mardi Gras at Yulman Stadium.
For the opener against the South Alabama Jaguars on Sept. 12 where the Green Wave will wear their incredible new city edition uniforms, that will accordingly be a Mardi Gras themed game featuring those King of Mardi Gras City Edition uniforms. Fans are encouraged to don Mardi Gras gear, and the first 10,000 of them will receive special beads, while the first 5,000 will get their hands on a City Edition jersey koozie.
Next up is the Hall of Fame game on Sept. 26 against the Southern Miss Golden Eagles. The Class of 2026 will be honored during the game while the first 2,500 fans will receive a neat replica the old Tulane Stadium.
Next, Tulane will “Light it Uptown” against the Memphis Tigers on Oct. 16. That game will give away light up glasses to the first 1,500 fans and will have a drone show at halftime and throughout the game.
The Green Wave will honor service members on Oct. 24 against the UTSA Roadrunners when they hold their Military Appreciation Day, with a limited number of free tickets available through VetTix for active duty military and veterans. The first 2,000 fans at that game will receive a camo hat.
Next up is Homecoming for the Wave on Nov. 7 against the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes. That game will be a “green out” with fans encouraged to wear green, and the first 7,500 fans will receive a green towel.
Last up is Senior Day on Nov. 21 against the North Texas Mean Green. That game will honor seniors in an on-field ceremony while the first 2,500 fans will receive a Tulane scarf, and the first 2,000 will receive an America 250 commemorative doubloon.
There are also major stadium and tech upgrades, from the full audio system overhaul to the video board replacement. They have also upgraded to add new seating, “The Neutral Ground,” which will join Uptown Terrace as a premium loge option located in the north end zone.
There will also be expanded vendors and returning favorites in the concourse. Dat Dog, Blue Oak BBQ, Reginelli's, Superior Grill, and Plum Street Snowballs all return. The new additions are Guinness, Jus Tacos, Bayou Boba, Luca Eats, The Chill Zone, and Rizzutos.
Ice cream novelties will be available at five locations, and section 120 will debut a new portable Bloody Mary stand.
It’s important to keep fans in the stands and keep them engaged, and these new gameday themed experiences, giveaways, upgraded seating and tech, and bolstered food options will look to do that at Yulman Stadium.
