BREAKING: KK Arnold to Return For UConn Hoops cover image

Arnold missed the game on New Years Eve because of a nasal fracture.

University of Connecticut women's basketball standout KK Arnold is back in the lineup for the Huskies on Saturday afternoon as they take on Seton Hall at 12 p.m. ET.

The unbeaten Huskies (14-0, 5-0 Big East), played without Arnold in Wednesday's win over Providence after she suffered a nasal fracture in practice last week.

Arnold will be playing in a mask, based on a picture from UConn Women's Basketball on X.

About Arnold

A junior from Germantown, Wisc., Arnold is a key part of what the Huskies do. A national champion last season, she is averaging 6.9 ppg this season to go along with 2.5 rebounds and 4.7 assists.

For her career, she's averaging 7.1 ppg and she pairs with Azzi Fudd and Sarah Strong to make up an excellent trio for Geno Auriemma's team.

What's at stake today

The Huskies have won 52 consecutive games within Big East play. They've beaten each Big East opponent this season by at least 36 points and appear to be headed for a possible unbeaten campaign in league play.

NOV 30: UConn 104, Xavier 39

DEC 7: UConn 102, DePaul 35

Dec. 17: UConn 89, Marquette 53

Dec. 28: UConn 94, Butler 47

Dec. 31: UConn 90, Providence 53

Ironically enough, the Huskies announced they will be honoring the 2015 and 2016 national championship teams later in January, the latter of which went unbeaten for the season. This Huskies team has a chance to match that. They have hardly been challenged this season, winning just one game by 10 points or less (Michigan, 72-69).
