
With three months still until the 2026 NFL Draft, University of Connecticut wide receiver standout Skyler Bell is already receiving buzz from draft insiders.
Take Trevor Sikkema from Pro Football Focus for example, who gave Bell some praise during workouts at the Shrine Bowl, which Bell is playing in on Jan. 27.

The Huskies went 9-4 in 2025, and Bell was a major reason for the success under previous head coach Jim Mora.
He was named an All-American after amassing 101 catches for 1,278 yards, and he became the first-ever Associated Press First-Team All-American in program history. He was also a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award, which goes to the best pass catcher in the nation.
He was one of only two players in the country to have 100 catches or more and was one of only three players to have 1,200 yards or more. His 13 touchdowns were second nationally. He out-performed the likes of Jeremiah Smith (Ohio State), who is regarded as the best receiver in the country.

--The University of Connecticut women's basketball team will be back in action on Saturday afternoon at Seton Hall. The game was originally scheduled for Sunday but has been moved to Saturday at 12 p.m. ET because of the impending snow storm scheduled to bury the East Coast over the weekend. The Huskies rolled over Georgetown on Thursday night.
--The men's basketball team will have a Big East contest with Villanova on Saturday afternoon at 12:30 p.m. ET. The Huskies, ranked No. 2 in the nation, are 18-1.
