The Big Ten Network, which will air most of the Huksies' games this season, is still available despite the recent disruption on YouTube TV

The Washington Huskies men's basketball program is  days away from beginning the 2025-26 season.

The Huskies will send out a retooled roster in the program's second season under head coach Danny Sprinkle. Thirteen of the 15 players on the team are either transfers or freshmen.

Washington received seven votes on the Associated Press (AP) Top 25 poll and one of the new additions to the roster, guard Wesley Yates III, was named to the watch list for the Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year Award.

Many different fan bases of college basketball fans found out about a major hurdle when it comes to watching and keeping up to date with their favorite teams.

Subscribers to YouTube TV found out earlier in the week that ESPN and ABC channels were no longer available.

ABC and ESPN have the media rights to Big 12, Southeastern Conference (SEC) and Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) games and are both owned by Disney. ESPN owns and operates the ACC and SEC Networks, respectively.

The lack of channels being available is due to a pay dispute between YouTube and Disney that would allow YouTube TV to have Disney-owned channels and stations.

Luckily, Huskies games shouldn't be affected.

Most of the Washington's men's and women's college basketball games will air on either the Big Ten Network or the Big Ten Plus streaming service.

The Big Ten Network is operated in part by FOX, which owns a 61% stake in the corporation. The conference owns its own media rights and outsources games to CBS, FOX and NBC. Several college basketball games, including scheduled contests on the Huskies' schedule, will air on the NBC-owned Peacock streaming service this year.

Fans of SEC, ACC and Big 12 teams who subscribe to YouTube TV could have to find other services to follow their favorite schools. But fans of Big Ten teams, including the Huskies, will likely able to follow their squads.
