The Washington Huskies men's basketball team is less than a month away from beginning summer practices. The team has 13 players currently signed or committed for the 2026-27 season. NCAA men's basketball rosters have a max capacity of 15 players, leaving the Huskies with two open spots on the roster.

There are several players Washington is reportedly interested in who are still available. All those players are guards.

Here's an overview of three players who the Huskies could still pursue before training camp officially starts:

Saine was one of the most prolific scorers in the transfer portal. The Everett, Wash., native played for the Weber State Wildcats in the Big Sky last season. He averaged 17.5 points across 32 games (all starts) on 45.4% shooting from the floor (34.7% from 3-point range). He also averaged 4.3 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game.

Saine has garnered interest from the Huskies, the Missouri Tigers, North Carolina State, LSU and Mississippi State, among others, this offseason but is reportedly still looking for the "right opportunity."

Washington has expanded its recruitment past the U.S. border for the last two seasons. The Huskies landed 2025-26 leading scorer and rebounder Hannes Steinbach (Germany) and returning forward Nikola Dzepina (Serbia) last year.

The Huskies have returned to international waters to land Brazilian forward Wini Braga and Australian guard Tristan Devers.

Washington has reported interest in returning to Europe for another guard, that being Kroflic.

The 20-year-old, 6-foot-9 guard averaged 10.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.1 steals last year with AA Mega Basket.

The Huskies' recruiting staff didn't limit their vision exclusively to Braga.

Washington reportedly also had interest in landing 6-foot guard Caua Pacheco, who plays in the same Brazilian league as Braga, Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB).

Pacheco led his team, Pinheiro, to the NBB Finals where it ultimately fell to Franca.

Pacheco averaged 9.9 points last regular season on 39.4% shooting in 37 games. He also averaged 3.4 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 1.1 steals.

--  Braga and Devers' respective NCAA eligibility is still in question due to a new NCAA guidance prohibiting players to compete in college athletics who received compensation "above necessary expenses" by professional leagues. International leagues, such as EuroBasket and NBB, are included in the guidance. UW is still working out Braga and Devers' respective eligibility, and Pacheco or Kroflic could fall under the same uncertain umbrella.

-- Saine would likely compete with San Francisco transfer Ryan Beasley for the starting point guard spot. Currently, Beasley is lined up to be the starter at point guard with Devers set to back him up.

-- Kroflic could also compete for starting minutes but would likely be a backup wing player behind returner Wesley Yates III and Gonzaga transfer Steele Venters.
