The Huskies men's basketball team is still looking to bolster its roster following the portal window closing
The NCAA men's basketball transfer portal window officially closed Tuesday but the Washington Huskies are still looking to make additions to their roster.
Players who have already entered the portal before the deadline are still able to commit to a new team.
The Huskies have already found three new additions to the team via the transfer portal: senior guards Ryan Beasley and Parker Friedrichsen and senior forward Steele Venters and are reportedly looking to add more.
Here's an update on several players Washington still has interest in in the transfer portal:
Rob Lee Jr., G (Sr.), Lamar
The soon-to-be senior guard is reportedly drawing interest from the Huskies after an impressive first season at the NCAA Division I level.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound guard averaged 16 points across 31 games (30 starts) with the Lamar Cardinals last season on 44.1% shooting (40% from 3-point range). He also averaged 3.2 rebounds and two assists per game.
Lee joined Lamar last year after two years at NCAA Division II school Wayne State.
According to a post on "X" from SeaTown Sports' Kevin Cacabelos, Lee is also drawing interest from Texas-El Paso, Texas State, TCU, West Virginia and North Dakota State.
Niko Bundalo, F (Soph.), Ole Miss
There hasn't been a confirmed interest in Bundalo from Washington but his past with the program could place him on the Dawgs' radar.
The 6-foot-10, 215-pound forward, who played 11 games with the Ole Miss Rebels last season, originally committed to the Huskies on Nov. 27, 2024. He decomitted from UW on April 29, 2025, just over three weeks after the program earned a commitment from Hannes Steinbach.
Steinbach recently declared for the 2026 NBA Draft. Bundalo averaged 0.5 points on 66.7% shooting across his 11 contests with the Rebels.
Due to Steinach and graduate center Franck Kepnang's (transfer portal) respective departures, it wouldn't be out of the question if Washington revisits a potential recruitment for Bundalo, who was ranked as the 40th-best player in the Class of 2025 coming out of high school per 247Sports.
Semetri Carr, G (Soph.), Cal
Semetri Carr played in 32 contests (two starts) with the Cal Golden Bears last year. He averaged 3.8 points on 36.1% shooting in his true freshman season in addition to 2.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists.

Carr took an official visit with Washington in 2024.
Bryson Smith, G (Gr. Sr.), Washburn
Bryson Smith, per a report on "X" from Kevin Cacabelos of SeaTown Sports, is reportedly seeking a waiver for a fifth year of college ball and is drawing interest from the Huskies.
Washburn has spent his entire collegiate playing career with various junior colleges and NCAA Division II universities. He won an NJCAA national championship with Dallas College North Lake in 2024.
This past season with D-II university Washburn, Smith averaged 11.3 points on 44% shooting (35.6% from 3-point range) across 33 games (33 starts). He also averaged 3.2 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists.
