The Washington Huskies football team has been hard at work to add to its ranks this offseason.
The Huskies have added several defensive linemen since the transfer portal opened Jan. 2, added the highest-graded offensive lineman in the portal, Sam Houston's Kolt Dieterich, and added cornerback Emmanuel Karnley.
With the aforementioned additions, Washington had two big needs: a potential top wide receiver and a running back with experience.
The Huskies lost leading receiver Denzel Boston, who accounted for over 800 yards receiving and 11 touchdowns this past season. He'll enter the 2026 NFL Draft, where he's projected to be a first-round pick.
Washington also lost its top two running backs, senior Jonah Coleman and sophomore Adam Mohammed.
Coleman will also enter the '26 draft. He ran 156 times for 758 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Mohammed entered the portal and committed to Cal. He rushed 106 times for 523 yards and five touchdowns.
MORE HUSKIES STORIES:
The Huskies added to their backfield Jan. 12 and could be on its way to adding a big-body receiver.
Washington earned a commitment from junior running back Jayden Limar on Jan. 12, who played three seasons at Oregon.
Limar ran for 262 yards this past season on 46 carries and three touchdowns.
Limar was a four-star receiver in the class of 2023 out of Lake Stevens, Wash., but opted to go to the other state in the Pacific Northwest rather than staying home with the Huskies. He was ranked the 18th-best running back in the country and the second-best player in the state of Washington according to the 247Sports Composite.
Limar will join returning running back and 2025 freshman Jordan Washington, who totaled 233 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries. The running back room will see additions from four-star Brian Bonner and three-star Ansu Sanoe.
The Huskies could also see an addition to the wide receiver room in the form of 6-foot-3, 190-pound junior Darrell Gill Jr.
UW is reportedly one of the many teams in the running for the junior Syracuse transfer.
Gill reeled in 32 catches for 506 yards and five touchdowns this past season for the Orange.
Gill was a zero-star recruit out of Humble, Texas, in the class of 2023. According to 247Sports, the only offers he received coming out of high school was Syracuse, Washington State and Football Championship Subdivision (FSC) program South Dakota State.
Despite being a a zero-star recruit out of high school, he's graded as a four-star transfer according to 247Sports.
