University of Washington standout running back Jonah Coleman has officially declared for the NFL Draft, an announcement he put on social media on Monday.

It's not a real surprise, as he exhausted all his collegiate eligibility after playing two years at Arizona and two years at Washington. He figures to be one of the more highly-regarded backs in the upcoming draft.

His statement reads, in part, "I also want to thank Coach Graham and Coach Fisch for believing in me and giving me chances that ultimately changed my life completely. The trust, guidance, and leadership pushed me to grow on and off the field and shaped me to the man I am today...

Since I picked up a football I've always had a dream I was chasing. Above all, I want to thank God for His guidance and blessings. He put me in a position I prayed for and worked relentlessly toward, and with that being said I'm blessed to announce I will be declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft."

About Coleman

A four-year standout at Arizona and Washington, he played in 50 games, amassing more than 3,000 yards rushing and 34 touchdowns. His 15 rushing touchdowns this season led the Big 10 and helped Washington to a 9-4 record and a win in the LA Bowl. He also had two receiving touchdowns this season, and his 17 scores also led the Big 10.

He was a major figure in Washington's transition from the Pac-12 to the Big 10 in 2024, and he followed head coach Jedd Fisch to Washington after he also left Arizona.

--The 7-4 Huskies men will be back in action on Monday night when they host San Diego at Alaska Airlines Arena. Tip-off time is 7 p.m. ET.

--Speaking of Fisch, there continue to be rumors of him being a candidate for the University of Michigan vacancy, though nothing has happened yet. He was a previous assistant at Michigan so there's a natural connection there.
