The Huskies landed another late recruit on Thursday, adding to their already stellar class.

The Washington Huskies' 2026 recruiting class was already one of the best in the nation after the first several hours of National Signing Day on Dec. 3. And it's only gotten better since.

In the first half of National Signing Day on Dec. 3, Washington inked 23 players — one five-star player, 10 four-star players and 12 three-star players.

On the night of Dec. 3, the Huskies added a 13th three-star player, a local defensive lineman from O'Dea in Seattle, David Schwerzel.

After Washington's initial 2026 class of 23 signed their respective letters of intent, the Dawgs' recruiting class ranked 13th in the nation, according to 247Sports. It was the highest-ranked recruiting class in program history. It also ranked fifth in the Big Ten behind USC (No. 1), Oregon (No. 3), Ohio State (No. 6), and Michigan (No. 11).

On Friday, the Huskies added a 14th three-star player and 25th player overall to the 2026 recruiting class.

Washington announced in a post on "X" that it signed tight end Kekua Aumua.

Aumua is the second tight end to be signed in the '26 recruiting class. He's ranked as the 39th-best tight end of the country and fourth-best player out of Hawaii, according to 247Sports.

The 6-foot-5, 255-pound tight end originally committed to the Florida Gators on June 9. He was originally offered by the Gators on Dec. 11, 2024.

The Huskies were one of the first teams to offer Aumua. His first three offers all came from Pacific Northwest teams.

According to 247Sports, Washington State was the first Division-I team to offer Aumua on Jan. 20, 2024; Washington offered him Jan. 31, 2024; and the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) Idaho Vandals offered him Feb. 1, 2024.

Aumua was offered by several notable programs since those initial interests, including Florida State, his native Hawaii, Louisville, North Carolina, Ole Miss and others.

Aumua took official visits with the Huskies on June 20 and Oct. 24 before flipping his commitment Friday.

After Aumua signed his letter of intent, Washington's 2026 recruiting class had an overall grade of 89.46 and improved to No. 12 in the country, according to 247 Sports.

Aumua makes the third three-star player or better the Huskies have flipped in the last week. Schwerzel was flipped a day after committing to UCLA and four-star wide receiver Jordan Clay was flipped from Baylor.

Huskies coach Jedd Fisch, who will play a to-be-announced bowl game before wrapping his second season as head coach, earned the reputation as a program builder when he led the Arizona Wildcats program.

How, with Washington, Fisch is proving that reputation correct.
