The Huskies were among the final teams mentioned and being considered by four-star power forward Jeremy Jenkins.
The Washington Huskies men's basketball team seems to be making a concerted effort to land several blue chip players form the 2027 and 2028 recruiting classes.
The Huskies landed just one recruit from the Class of 2026, three-star wing Lattimore Ford, and further bolstered their 2026-27 season with a trio of international recruits: Croatian forward Boris Tisma, Brazilian forward Wini Braga and Australian guard Tristan Devers.
If Washington has success in the wide net its casting for the next two recruiting classes, it will have to seldom go to international waters.
It appears the Huskies are in good standing with several of their recruiting targets, as they were recently named among the top teams being considered by a notable recruit in the Class of '27.
Four-star power forward Jeremy Jenkins is down to his final 10 schools according to an article from On3 Sports reporter Joe Tipton.
Washington was included in Jenkins' top 10. The other nine teams are the Indiana Hoosiers, Texas A&M Aggies, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Florida State Seminoles, Dayton Flyers, North Carolina State Wolfpack, Xavier Musketeers, West Virginia Mountaineers and Virginia Tech Hokies.
Before getting down to his final 10, Jenkins also had offers from notable programs such as Oregon, Mississippi State, Georgia, Kansas and LSU, among others.
Jenkins is ranked as the 50th-best overall player in the Class of '27, eighth-best power forward and eighth-best player in Florida, per the 247Sports Composite.
The 6-foot-9, 245-pound power forward is ranked as the 35th-best player in the country, fifth-best player at his position and the seventh-best player in the state per Rivals' Top 150.
Jenkins, who attends Riviera Preparatory School in Miami, took part in the NBPA Top 100 Camp last week. He averaged 10.5 points and eight rebounds per game. He also took part in the Nike EYBL camp and scored 12.5 points while averaging 4.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists.
The Huskies are currently the front runners for several of their top recruiting targets in the '27 class.
Washington is the leader or in the top two for several players in Rivals.com's Top 150 in the Class of '27.
According to Rivals.com's prediction model, UW has the second-highest odds (36%) to land the No. 16 player in the country, center Darius Wabbington; the highest-odds (62%) to land the No. 20 player in the country, point guard Jalen Davis; and the highest odds (81%) to land the No. 36 player in the country, 6-foot-6 small forward Howard Williams.
If the Huskies are able to make a push for Jenkins and they earn commitments from players they're leading or in the thick of it for, the program could legitimately have one of the best recruiting classes in the country.
