The Huskies are looking to get one step closer to filling out their roster and adding another player from the 2026 high school graduating class, Zamir Paschal.

The Washington Huskies men's basketball team is nearing a complete roster for the 2026-27 season.

As of now, the Huskies have 12 players out of a possible 15 for the 2026-27 season. The two most recent additions for Washington have been freshmen, although with very different backgrounds.

Washington earned a commitment from three-star small forward Lattimore Ford, who spent a portion of his high school years at Mount Si High School in Snoqualmie, Wash.

Ford was the first and, as of now, the only player to commit to the Huskies from the 2026 graduating class.

The other freshman who will be on Montlake in the fall and winter is 21-year-old center/forward Wini Braga, who currently plays in the NBB professional basketball league in his native Brazil.

Braga is currently competing for professional team Minas in the NBB playoffs.

The 13th player that Washington adds to the team could also be a '26-27 freshmen.

Per a post on "X" from SeaTown Sports reporter Kevin Cacabelos, three-star Class of '26 point guard Zamir "Bam" Paschal took an official visit with the Huskies on Thursday. He was reportedly extended an offer by the program following his visit.

Washington won't have a lot of competition to land Paschal. The two other offers the 6-foot-1, 160-pound point guard has received are from Portland and Portland State, making UW the only Power Four program to offer him.

Paschal, who attends Central Catholic High School in Portland, Ore., is ranked as the 180th-best player, 21st-best point guard and best player in the state of Oregon, per the 247Sports Composite.

Based on Paschal's profile, it seems like he could fill a similar role that was vacated by outgoing transfer guards JJ Mandaquit (Arizona) and Courtland Muldrew (uncommitted).

Mandaquit and Muldrew both served as the team's backup point guard behind another transfer, soon-to-be junior Zoom Diallo (who transferred to Kentucky).

Muldrew has a size advantage over Paschal (the former is 6-foot-3), but the latter has drawn praise as a two-way impact player with speed, the same as Muldrew.

If Paschal were to commit, he would provide UW much-needed point guard depth behind recent transfer portal additions and assumptive starter Ryan Beasley.

If the Huskies earn a commitment from Paschal, they would need two players to reach capacity for the '26-27 season. Washington is still in need of a true rim protector but gained shot-blocking ability with the Braga coming over.
